Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in geneology over 16 years ago. I found out if you want to find information on your ancestors, you must spend time in cemetery's. After I took several pictures,I wanted to put them to good use. So one day in my many searches I found, and hopefully I've made it easier for future geneologist's in my family, and on the internet. Names I'm researching are McManimen, Boren, Cope, Tebodo, Ervin, Shine, Magner, Benjamin, Tatro,Dion,Boise,Lawrence and Proue. Cities would be: Chicago,Il; Chicago Heights,Il., McMinnville,Tn.,Harvey, Il., Quebue, Canada, Ste. Marie de Monnoir Rouville, Counties Donegal & Limerick, in Ireland and Iroquois County in Illinois.

I have noticed that you have taken some photos at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Have you ever had any issues taking the photos?

RE: Picture for Leah Forster Gleason's grave
It's interesting the cemetery didn't give me any initials, so their records may not have had any.
If my theory is correct, the family may not have known the middle name and put F for Forster.

RE: Picture for Leah Forster Gleason's grave
Thank you for grave cleaning! I have to do the same thing for my Dad here in Connecticut and I'm related to the family who maintains and runs the cemetery.
I had just been re-checking Leah Forster's entry and she has a quite a few name variations. Birth, original handwritten record, was Mary L. Forster. She was always called Leah by family and most French Catholics named the girls Marie something. The first time I saw Leah E. was the 1910 census. In 1920 it was M. Leah Forster and Leah M Gleason was in the 1930 census. Can't find her marriage to Maurice Patrick Gleason probably in the late 20's. In 1940 census she was Leah Gleason with no initial. But what made me keep the E was the fact her Mother had an aunt who had a daughter named Leah Euphemia Bigoness, born 20 years earlier than Leah Forster. I have pictures of Leah Forster with this family at the beach in Rhode Island. Leah had a brother who died early and was named after her grandfather. After losing the boy, I'm sure gr. aunt Louise was going to name Leah after her side of the family. If my theory is right, Leah probably didn't brag much about her middle name. Her childhood best friend cousin Irene Jefferson [my namesake and aunt] certainly didn't. I usually trust marriage and birth records, because death certificate information is given at a "difficult" time. The children may have just given her maiden name as her middle, especially in the 1960's? What do you think?
