I really do not mind people asking for the use of photos but I truly put a lot of work into these and it is just nice to be asked permission to use them and to get credit for them. Sorry if this sounds rude but I think it is only fair.|
If you request a transfer please use the edit button as it makes it easier to transfer the memorial.

|Paul Henke||Lavern Quaintance|
Thank you for all the work you do. It is much appreciated. I do have a question concerning the information for Lavern Quaintance found in Ivory Cemetery, Charutauqua County, New York, USA, Plot: Lot 66. Was the birth and death information taken from the tombstone or from other sources. I question whether this information could be correct. George Washington Quaintance and Charlotte Terry were not married until January 1, 1867. Their first child after this marriage was Deforest L. Quaintance. There are some genealogies showing the middle name as Lavern. Deforest was born on January 29, 1867 according to Genealogy of the Quaintance Family in Ohio and other states by Alfred M. Quaintance found on page 89, O-344. Deforest's death date is recorded as January 24, 1877, the same as the death date for Laverne. It seems these two people must be one and the same. Could there have been an error in reading the record? Could the birth date have actually been Oct. 29, 1867 instead of 1862? The birth date in the Quaintance Genealogy looks wrong.
I hope your Thanksgiving was great and thanks for transferring my ancestor, Shibnah.

Mark, thanks for the photos of Timothy and Lydia Ely Goulding. He is my 3rd great grand uncle. May I have your permission to use the photos in my ancestry.com family tree?

I see that you manage the memorial for Ada L. Peebles, #41241272. Given your last name, I assume you are related to her.
There is a postcard for sale on eBay written in 1910 by an Ada L. Peebles of Peebles, WI. I guess the town was named for her family. I would think this is the same person.
You can see the postcard at http://www.ebay.com/itm/1910-RPPC-Farm-House-Barn-Ada-Peebles-WI-PC-Photo-Taycheedah-Fond-du-Lac-Area-/231290861366?ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123.
Hopefully that's the family house in the picture.
I am not the seller. I just think that these kinds of things should be owned by family members.
