Bio Photo I live in WI, retired from Ameritech (phone compnay) after 32 years in 2001. Worked in a flower shop for eight years after I retired but now just enjoy DOING NOTHING. I have several family histories going on That is actually how I found out about Find A Grave. I enjoy exploring the country sides and have even gotten my husband to join me on a few occassions. Mostly I like the peace and quiet and enjoy THE HUNT. Favorite TV program is "Who Do You Think You Are" put on by Ancestry and Finding Your Roots on PBS.

for Stephen A Lee, my 3rd great grand uncle.
First, Bonnie, you are amazing. Thank you so much for you contribution to my research! Which by the way found me the year of Stephen's death as 1854. I can read on the tombstone barely, June 4, 18??. Then I found Guardianship papers filed 1 Nov 1854, for his 3 young daughters, after his decease. So the year he died is 1854. Then, for extra proof, I found in the 1855 Wisconsin State Census, Eliza, his wife and 1 minor daughter are alone, with 1 son next door, confirming Stephen is deceased. I have a photo of the guardianship page if you want it for the site page. I can't download it hear, though I tried.
Thank you so much, Bonnie,

Hazel and Ike Spike
Hi Bonnie,

I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to visit these graves and post these photos.

Today is my Grandma Hazel's birthday. She would have been 97. She passed away in 2003. My boys (her great grandsons), Jeremy and Alexander, were 6 and 4 back then. She absolutely adored them. They are now 18 and 16 (!) and have a little sister, Sarah, who is 6-1/2 today, right on her Great Gramma Hazel's birthday. Sarah was born with a congenital heart condition (open heart surgery at 5 mos. fixed that) and Down syndrome (but if you were to see Sarah in action, she clearly has Up syndrome!).

We talk about Gramma Hazel and Grampa Ike all of the time. I was very close to them both and miss them so much that sometimes I think my own heart will burst. I wish my children, especially Sarah, would have known them the way I did...

It's not easy for me to go far these days, as health challenges have begun to take their toll on me as well, so it is wonderful to be able to make a "virtual visit" to their grave site, thanks to you. It's much water this way.

We even have birthday cake today in her honor (great excuse!); real (not virtual) chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and lots of flowers...just like Hazel loved...but wasn't supposed to eat (hahaha...yeah, right!) due to health concerns...we'll just have to eat it for her!

Thanks again,

We respectfully request permission to use Tim's cemetery marker photo in our personal tree. Tim is Bruce's cousin and the photo will make a great addition to our tree.

Thanks for your consideration.
