Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired teacher, living in Janesville, Wisconsin. I like to research family on both my mother's side (Tess, Funk, Adams, Butler) and my dad's side (Pierce, Donaldson, Leaver, Chambers, Knox).

In addition, I have been teaching myself about local history by researching and listing old burials from Millard cemetery in Walworth County and Oak Hill cemetery in Janesville, WI. If any of those folks are your close relatives, just request a transfer.

If you see anything I post that you believe is an error, please use the edit tabs or drop me a note.

Re: edit for Hattie Miller (151417487)
Good morning,
Do you have some documentation for Hattie's maiden name of Waldo. I am unable to find any proof.
Thanks,
~G

HELLO

I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONFIRM MAGGIE WHISLER IS THE MISSING MARGARET LOOMIS WHISLER WHO DIED SO YOUNG IN WISCONSIN.

I WANT TO CONNECT HER TO HER HUSBAND AND THE TWO DAUGHTERS THEY HAD TOGETHER.

PLEASE TRANSFER HER TO ME TO COMPLETE THIS.

SINCERELY,

JUDY WHISLER

MAGGIE WHISLER PHOTO
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR TAKING A PHOTO OF THE TOMBSTONE.

EVEN BROKEN IT IS BEAUTIFUL.

ALMOST POSITIVE SHE WAS THE YOUNG FIRST WIFE OF MY HUSBAND'S GREAT GRAND FATHER HENRY C WHISLER. THE AGE AND THE TIME FRAME ARE RIGHT AND THE FAMILY MOVED FROM OHIO TO WISCONSIN IN 1850. THEY LEFT ABOUT 1870 AND SETTLED IN KANSAS.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR KINDNESS.

SINCERELY,

JUDY WHISLER

maggie whisler tombstone
hello

I AM IN NEED OF YOUR ASSISTANCE.

I BELIEVE MAGGIE WAS THE YOUNGB WIFE OF OUR ANCESTOR HENRY C WHISLER. HE OFTEN WENT BY H C WHISLER.

COULD YOU TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AND SEE IF HIS INITIALS ARE H C INSTEAD OF U C?

ALSO, THE DEATH DATE HAS ALSO BEEN SHOWN AS OCT 31, 1867.

IS THERE A LOG AT THE CEMETERY THAT COULD CLARIFY WHICH DSTE IS CORRECT?

IS THERE A PHOTO OF THE STONE?

SINCERELY,

JUDY WHISLER
