Many people are studying their family history to find medical information. Among the conditions that are thought hereditary and at least partly preventable or treatable are depression, diabetes, kidney disease, hypertension, heart disease, and cancer. Omitting medical information is not polite, IMHO.
I found a statement about links that perfectly expresses my own beliefs. I'm posting it with permission.--------------------------
Let's help the next family member or researcher that visits a memorial by adding all the family links that we know. When family members are not linked, it makes the next person do the research all over again. Also, if we have the information, let's use it before it is forgotten.I also believe that family links make this site easier to use. The easier it is to use, the more it will be used and the better it will get.
My number of memorials managed is increasing because I apparently am the succession plan for a few contributors, at least partially. I don't mind, it's easy to maintain memorials.

|Hal Capshaw||Robert B Gayle - 118081841|
The memorial for Robert B Gayle - 118081841 is incorrect in that he is listed as his own father. In actuality his father is Bartlett B Gayle - 22982268 and his mother is Wilma Chlorene Lindsay Gayle - 31061371. I am not sure how straighten out this mess, but I hope you can figure it out.
Thank you for adding Forest Hughes.

Sir, I received your edits. You will notice that the people in Caps are those listed on the Monticello Library reading from the 1970's. As I have time to verify their existence in the cemetery and other info I uncap. Having the name in Caps is my way of letting me know what is done and not done. Thank you for your edits. Jim

I don't have this person.
|Ed Cline||John and Maud Ackman|
Thanks for the info on their marriage. I have it in my records just didn't add it to the memorial.

Hello - just wanted to thank you for your memorials at the Shady Grove Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau County, Mo. I just discovered this cemetery while linking some people buried at Fairmount cemetery in Cape. It is fascinating to me. And when the flood water goes down, my husband promised to take me out there to see it. I have found some other burials - only a few - using the Missouri Digital Heritage website and added them at Shady Grove. Are you aware there was a book written about this cemetery? it is a reference book housed at our city library and one cannot check it out but I went up earlier in the week and read it. It is great also and very interesting. Well this is a long thank you but I really appreciate your work on find-a-grave.

Deny what you would like, I know it takes time and effort to take pictures, make and maintain memorials and I thank you very much for the quick work that you have done. Benjamin was my grandmother's favorite uncle. Joanne
