Bio Photo (Updated Apr 3, 2014)

Happy Spring :) (Again, finally!)

The weather is starting to get and stay a little nicer, and I hope that within a couple of weeks I will be able to start gong out and getting photo requests. We'll have to wait and see though :)

Please read the below information before sending me corrections or edits. Failure to do so may keep your corrections from being done.

Also, please use the NEW EDIT system... do not send me emails with corrections that can be done by the NEW system... it takes longer and can be done wrong.

Any of the following items that are changable via the NEW EDIT system are to be sent that way:

Birth/death date, birth/death place
Relationship (parent and spouse links)
Plot or GPS
Marker transcription

If you do not send them this way, they may not get done. Please do not use the OTHER option for these items.

Thank you.

Note: With the New Year upon us, one of my resolutions is to be able to do more graving, etc., both behind the scenes and out in the field.

Hopefully, personal issues that may be taking place this year won't affect me too much, and may actually give me more time.

Have a great and prosperous year :)

Thank you.

Greetings! I am a F.A.G. volunteer for Atchison County, KS. If you have any questions about cemeteries here, feel free to email me and I will try my best to answer.

I am also working on getting the cemeteries from surrounding counties entered / corrected.

Sometimes, real life gets in the way and I may not get something done within a few days... if you haven't heard from me, or a change hasn't been made, after 2 weeks, please send me a reminder.

Please read all notes as they are important...

Thank you and have a great day :)

Most of my memorials were created from the 'Kansas Room burial listings' that are listed in the 'References Used' section below.

Most errors in my memorials are due to transcription errors in that list. I am in the process of correcting the errors from there but it will take a long time and a lot of research.

I am more than happy to make corrections... just be polite about it.

Please do not leave me corrections on this profile page. See below for instructions on how to send corrections... that is the preferred way for me (and for Find A Grave, see FAQs). Thank you.

Please use the Suggest a Correction link on the EDIT tab on a memorial if you'd like to send me questions or suggestions. Any left on my profile page will be ignored.

If I have created a memorial for your immediate family member and you would like it transferred to you, please use the Edit link located in the upper right hand corner of each memorial and the Suggest a Correction (S.A.C.) option.

I have no problem transferring memorials... just ask (and use the S.A.C. link).

Also, if you find any errors I have made, please use the EDIT tab on the memorials to send me a Suggest a Correction. I appreciate people helping me fix errors.

Also please send any additional information you have via the same method and I will add it to the memorial.

All 'Date of Death' fields that were originally from the above sources (books / website) are actually the burial dates. Most cemeteries only record the burial date as that is what they have in their records.

Please let me know when the burial date is incorrect and you know the Death date. Thank you.

RE: Edits...
I am just finishing photoing the Southwest block of Mt. Vernon. I have tried to get everything I could find. Of course, there is always a possibility of missing something, or even getting off a row and missing a bunch. I'm just starting the Southeast block now. As I get time and get to Atchison, I'll continue for awhile. It looks like I'm finding some new material. I think I've added a little over 100 new records and you, probably can tell how many additions and corrections on others already in. Anyway, as a Senior citizen (almost 82 years) I'm trying to help in anyway that I can, as long as I can. Take care.

aka Saint Joesph's City Cemetery. I note you have posted the cemetery photo. From your photo there appears to be almost no markers there. Did you photograph and post all of the visible markers? I am ready to submit some photo requests, but don't want to send someone out there if there are no unposted markers. Thanks. By the way, you can update your bio edits section to include adding links, I just saw that option is now available, will sure cut down on SACs.

RE: re: Spawns & Phillips corrections
OK. I will take care of them now. Thanks for noticing the errors and omissions. A couple years ago I uploaded several hundred entries from a data base that was not really well organized, and I have fixed most of the problems, but I'm sure there are still a few more.

Woolfolk requests
Thanks so much for taking the time to suggest calling cemetery office. I did so, but they/it could not provide burial locations, so I would have to write. I'll delete my requests and I appreciate your suggestion.

Thanks for the link to her father, always my pleasure to add these! The names you are researching are all familiar ones to me, wonder if Stephan could have evolved into Stepan also.
