I came across Findagrave.com in December of 2008 and since then, the information that I have found on here about my ancestors is amazing!! I continue to find more as the volunteers on here continue to use their valuable time to find that information and document it with pictures.
Seeing all of the hard work that these amazing volunteers have done, I am so thankful. I have made use of many genealogy web sites, and know the value they have for those who can't always travel to get their information. I love taking pictures and decided that it was my turn to do some volunteering to help those like myself, put some lost pieces of their family tree together. It is my hope that by placing (at least sometimes) some "very difficult to locate information" on Findagrave that I'm helping someone else like I was helped.
**********On a more personal note:********** August 2014 update I have two beautiful daughters, the youngest one, has graduated from college finally, and is working in her profession, which is something to celebrate in itself! My girls are actually the reason behind all of my genealogy work, even if they don't realize it now, they will be thankful one day for the pictures/information that I have accumulated. My oldest daughter and her husband have been blessed with two wonderful children, a beautiful daughter born in '08 and a precious baby boy born May 2014. In Jan 2013 My husband passed away after a long hospital stay, my 99 yr old mother passed in April 2014, my older brother in April 2015. It's been a rough couple of years and I've been away from volunteering, for awhile, but I'm back now! I'm ready to get going.
************************************************* I will gladly make any corrections if any of the information I have posted is incorrect or add missing info. If I have posted a picture for one of your relatives and you would like the original, please feel free to let me know. AND finally, I don't mind transferring memorials of your relatives, just let me know.
RE: Mabel & William C. Stallings Children Thank You for all you do on this site. Now that I read your reply, "That makes sense" why all children are not listed. I am new to this site, so I am learning what should or should not be shared. Thanks Again. Sandra
Mabel & William C. Stallings Children I find that you have listed 2 of their children: Jane Stallings and William C. Stallings Jr., both deceased. But William C. and Mabel also have another son, Jack Thomas Stallings - Still Living. Jack Thomas Stallings was the Baseball Coach at Wake Forest, NC, FSU in Tallahassee, Fl. and finished his career at Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Georgia, where the Baseball stadium/field is named after him. He married Norma Dean Griffin, (daughter of Horace Linwood Griffin and Alma Wood Griffin) and they have 3 sons: Jack Thomas Jr. Robert Michael, and Donald Bruce Stallings. Wife and Sons are all living.
RE: David Cochran My husband is a Cochran descendant. I have research notes in his file that I could send. We are having eye problems and many of the notes are not of his line as when we were doing research sometimes we would not be sure of a line and you have to copy stuff and then go home and sort it out. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Hilda (my husband is Ralph).
