I need to know where you got the information on Henry buried in the Knoxville cemetery, Jefferson county, Ohio. Mainly what is the source for his parents. Any other info would help. Thanks from Keith Swensen, email

RE: John Browns in Licking Cemetery
Thanks very much. My fellow researcher and I will keep working on the Brown-Beaver connection.

John Browns in Licking Cemetery
Can you help me sort out the John Browns in Licking Cemetery? The tombstone for John D. Brown (1839-1841) that you have supplied is the same photo with another Find A Grave listing (#95795218). However, your Find A Grave listing is certainly the correct one, since the information matches the tombstone.

The other John D. Brown, who died in 1834, was married to Jemima Beaver and thus on my Beaver family tree.

Knowing the parents of either one of these Mr. Browns would be very helpful but I have not been able to find such people in census and other records.

RE: Van Dyke and Woodard
You're very welcome. Platt is a very old and still popular name in this area, are you related to Gloucester County NJ Platts? Also, I don't like taking cemetery pictures this time of year... they all come out 'blah'. The Woodards actually looks nice, but I"m not happy with Mrs. Van Dykes. I'll go back in the Spring and retake it!

I verify all information with the cemetery office as well. If you require additional information, the office staff is very helpful.

Platt, Jacob H. DOD 10/13/1917

Hi Rick,

Mr. Platt was cremated at Mountain View, but his remains were sent to Pennsylvania according to cemetery records.

If I can be of additional assistance, please feel free to contact me.
