Hello, my name is Mark Douglas Browning and I recently moved from Tucson, Arizona to Dallas, Texas... and back to Tucson again!|
I was born in Kentucky, and have lived in many other states across the U.S. including: New York, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Missouri, Texas, and Arizona.
My ancestors migrated to America from Germany, East Prussia, South Wales, England, Isle of Man, and Ireland. Some of these ancestors married Native Americans (Chickasaw and Cherokee). My paternal great grandfather was a Shupe/Shoop from Southwestern Virginia.
I descend from the Gross, Cooper, Brock, Simpson, Saylor and Salyer families of Harlan County, Kentucky as well as the Griffith family of Whitley and Bell County, Kentucky on my maternal grandmother's side. My Cooper and Evans families were originally from Campbell and Union County, Tennessee before moving to Harlan County, Kentucky.
I descend from the Carby and Hunt families of Grayson, Hardin, and Hart Counties in Kentucky as well as the Muss, Hopewell, and Foster families of Bullitt County, Kentucky on my maternal grandfather's side.
I descend from the Craig and Delk families of Whitley County, Kentucky and Campbell County, Tennessee; the Craig and Williams families of Union County, Tennessee; the Fox family of Campbell County, Tennessee and Whitley County, Kentucky; and the Lawson family of Whitley County, Kentucky on my paternal grandmother's side.
I descend from the Shupe/Shoop family of Wythe County, Grayson County, Scott County and Wise County, Virginia; The Browning family of Russell County, Virginia, then Lee County, Virginia, then Hawkins County, Tennessee and later Scott County and Wise County, Virginia and even later Harlan County, Kentucky; and the Looney family of Hawkins County, Tennessee on my paternal grandfather's side.
Books I have authored:
The Descendants of John Muss & Elizabeth Ceise
I am very happy to transfer memorials to family except in situations where the memorial created is a member of my family.

|A Craig||Thank you|
I just wanted to say Thank you! I have been researching the Craig family line with little to go on past the last two generations. Your entries here on Find A Grave have been like a breath of new life! My husband (Craig) and I are loving the joy of discovering and learning about his family history.
Thank you for all the time spent, it is appreciated!

|Mary Longmire Lay||Longmire/Craig|
Mark, I am the gggg-granddaughter of Lucinda Longmire thru her son, John. John was born in 1822 before she married John Craig. She also had Nancy, b 1824 & Barbara, b 1830. As far as I know, no one knows who the father is of these tree children. I was wondering if DNA could be done on descendants from her first children and the children after her married to Mr. Craig. He could then be eliminated or proved the father of Lucy's older children. Do you know if any Craig descendant would be interested in doing this?
I suppose we are "half cousins" Thanking you in advance.
Libbi Longmire Lay

That was very kind. Thanks again.
|Michelle Lutz||RE: Transfer of memorial|
Thanks! Are you related to them in any way?

I would be willing to maintain the memorial of Margaret and Joseph Hiner as they are my husband's great-grandparents on his paternal side.
The memorial #70911015 .
Thanks for this photo as it's not in my collection.
Christina Elizabeth Delk Garner is my great~great grandmother. Her birth date is Mar 15, 1870 instead of 1871. Thanks for all the info!!

Mark, the duplicate memorial has been deleted. Find A Grave Memorial# 100483478. Thank you once again for bringing the duplicate to my attention. Happy Hunting. D.

The way to get duplicates merged is to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org giving the two memorial numbers and if the other person won't delete theirs, you simply request merge. Plus, that first memorial is linked to spouse and children too. thanks!

Do you have any information as to children of Lafayette and Hester Looney? the 1930 and 1940 census does not list any and by then they are in their 50's so my assumption is that they did not. He is my 2nd cousin, 3 times removed, so I guess that makes us some kind of cousins too!
