Adding all surnames of my familys great grandparents, regardless of possible relation, that include but are not limited to: Bender, Clark, Clarkston, Garrison, Grote, Herman, Kies, McCoy, Nees, Oswald, Remmert, Snyder, Vogelsong, Vreeland, Yoder and Zook. If you need any additional information added to anything I have put onto here do let me know. The easiest way to now request edits for any of my memorials is to submit an edit through Find A Grave. They are much easier to process than digging through hundreds of emails.

Death or Grave for John Hiram Cook
John Hiram Cook was my paternal great grandfather.
He was born in 1877 in Iowa. It appears from the Census US Federal that he passed sometime between 1920 and 1930. He is listed on the 1920 as married, with his wife. On the 1930, she is listed as a widow. John is not listed. By use of city directories, I believe he may have passed bween 1927 and 1930 but , of course, I am not positive on that.

He was a resident of Omaha. His 13 year old daughter, Effie Pearl Cook, passed in February of 1915 and is buried in Forest Lawn 12 single 1604.

I have not been successfulin determining an exact date of death for him thru gen board postings, phone call to the cemetery, search of vital statistics and paidand volunteer searches.

If anyone has any other further ideas for resources to check, please advise me. Any help will be appreciated.

I noticed here that there are a couple of John Cook'slisted here with incomplete information, however the middle initials do not seem to my relative.

His Wife's name was Anna Belle (nee Murphy) (1st marriage Nichols)Cook.

Joh Hiram Cook was my paternal grandmother's father. I have all the information on Anna Belle and her biological mother, Daisy Dell (nee Babb) Cook. It seems strange that he is just not listed as passing or not showing up as being buried. He would have bee approx. 43 to 53 years of age.

Thank you. My email address is

Louise Marie Campbell
Thank you so very much for the photo for Louise's memorial. It upset me to see what Brad Jones posted on her memorial and there is no way to contact him to delete it.
