 | Baird and Sweet in Geauga Co., Ohio I got back to Welton cem in Burton. The cylindrical stone cleaned up nicely with water and a nylon brush but it is still unreadable. The stone next to it has dates that appear to be 1871 and 1908 (could be 1903 - 1888 - 1883).
I went to Ancestry and found census records for Howard and Mina (1900 through 1940), Aaron and Virginia (1880 - Howard is with them) and for Bethia and Asael. If you want that information I will send it to you.
Third. - I am photographing grave markers at Briar Hill Cem in Russell Twp, Geauga County and there are 12 graves with the Sweet surname. Could these be your relatives? | | | William Cole
 | RE: Bairds at Welton I will get back t0 Burton ( there is a maple shop on the town square) but there may not be anything readable on the stone. | | | William Cole
 | Bairds at Welton I added photos to Bethia Bairds memorial. I also added a photo of the Baird graves as they are together. In that phot0, to the right, is a cylindrical stone which is covered in lichen. I had nothing with me to clean the stone and it is possible that it might still be unreadble with the lichens removed. If you want I can try to get back to Welton and clean the stone with water and a nylon brush. It could be Mina's. | | | | [View all messages...] |
