Francis Cleveland Hedges
Regarding the birth date for this man, the date that I submitted to you for an edit came from the SSDI, from his WW I Draft Registration Card, and from his WW II Draft Registration Card. Also, the month of birth matches the 1900 census.

Hi, Ruby,

Thank you so much for finding the information on James. I would appreciate it VERY much if you would email me a copy of his obituary.

James Jacob Alkern
Hi again, Ruby,

Thank you for the additional information. Is there any record of the date or even the year of his death? He is listed in the 1920 census as living with his grandparents and Brendice, but nothing is found in 1930.

Thank you again.

RE: James Jacob Alkern
Thank you for your reply, Ruby.

I have written to a gentleman from the Acton Cemetery Association to see if he will look up the original record. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Hi, Ruby,
I see that you have entered information on James Jacob Alkern, who is buried in the Acton Cemetery. I am trying to find more information on him, as he was once married to my mother's cousin, Brendice R. Brown. We have lost track of her, and I hoped that she might have been buried in the same cemetery. Do you know anything else about this family?
Thank you very much!

Jeannine Alkern
Ruby; I would love to take over Jeannine's memorial if possible. She is my aunt, my dad's sister. Either way, I have more info to add and would like to connect her to other relatives. Thank you.
