Thanks for visiting. I am starting some family pages so that we can keep them alive in our memories.
Thank you to all of the great people who have fulfilled my photo requests or helped me out with time or photos. I am particularly thankful to Victor Bergman of Celina for his help as well as the many kind and generous volunteers from Mercer and Auglaise Counties. I live FAR from you and I wouldn't be very far in my quest to document family members without your help.
Thanks to the person who posted my grandparents. You really inspired me to return that favor whenever I can.
I try very hard to keep reflections of my feet, and shadows out of the photos I take, however, sometimes it is unavoidable. Sorry if a sunny day and black stone conspired to make bad photos, I really do try!
Many of the old photos or information I post are from boxes I found in the effects of relatives who are no longer with us. There is a good chance that if I posted a photo of your relative or loved one I either knew them or can give you some additional information +/- photos of that person, just ask.
If you have photos to share, I am always interested in seeing them. My philosophy is that "when you know a person's face, you know at least a little bit of their story."
If you are going to use any of my photos on Ancestry.com or the like, please give me an appropriate citation. Findagrave suggests that it be in this format: Bio Author. "John Doe". Find A Grave. 6-1-2008. Many of my copywrited photos, descriptions, as well as my assembled history of the Bergman family have been posted to a public ancestry tree without my permission. This was very disrespectful. I spend hundreds of hours trying to help this site out, please don't act in a manner which discourages this.
Finally, if there is one thing that every visitor to findagrave should take away its this-- even if it cost more, buy the GRANITE stone!

It was back in Jan when you suggested to me that the Sr. Collette in Salem Hgts might be who I was looking for. Several months went by before I had a chance to check it out. Lo and behold, it was her!!! Several more months go by and I am just getting around to thanking you. THANK-YOU VERY MUCH!! A brick wall just crumbled.

May name is Dave Barga. Just as an FYI, I used the photo of Anton and Elizabeth Eilerman for my tree on Ancestry.com giving you the proper credit. Anton's father, John Henry, was my 2nd great grand uncle.

As a point of interest:
I just noticed that you that Dred Scott's headstone is in the background. The tree that in before the street the light grey stone on the other side of the street just to the left is Dred's.
See number 19.

I got the rest on, I will work on the tall monument. That will be interesting. The Foil was ok, but still needs something more.

You are welcome. This cemetery is easy for me because it is my home church cemetery and most of my recent ancestors are buried here. I happened to be meeting my 3 sisters at one of their homes in Versailles to go to Michigan to visit our brother so I scheduled another day to get these pictures done. I have been wanting to do this forever! I have many more to take of cemeteries in the surrounding communities sometime.

I was wondering where I can get more info on this book? I have some people from this area.
