I've been interested in family history for 20 years, collecting over 33,000 relatives. My main surnames are Hartlage and Lickteig on my paternal side. Also Mattingly, Roby and Payne on my maternal side, plus some other Daviess County, Kentucky families, some related, some not.|
I have often been helped by wonderful volunteers along the way and am happy to help others when I can.

I have a friend, Tom. We have known each other for forty years. His father was an Indianapolis survivor. Tom's god-father, was also a survivor. Both have passed away.

That's fine. I would just say he adopted two of Martha's sons, Benjamin Franklin and Richard. They are both attached to his memorial.

I am hoping you can help me. I am looking for a connection between the Jackey's and the Harledges (Hartlage). All help would be very much appreciated. Thank you, DJ

Sorry I have not gotten back to you on the Hehemann Cemetery. I have an great aunt that is buried in Cave Hill and it has her husband's name on the double headstone, however he is buried in Evergreen with a new wife, so they might have put William's name as a memorial. One of the Hehemann's are buried on top of the spouse in the Hehemann's plot. It has been a while since I have looked up anything at the Catholic offices, I rarely get up to Louisville anymore. Thank you. Diana

I just wanted to add Isabella as Joseph Magdalene "Josie" Hardy Alender's mother. I can send Josie's death certificate if you need documentation. You are related to my best friend. Josie is her great grandmother. She is excited to find information about her father's family.

He is buried in the same plot area as my great, great grandparents, the Hehemanns.
I have a couple of relatives in St. Louis and some also have German on the headstone, Unfortunately I did not get the translation off the weathered headstone of Anton Hehemann or his wife.
My daughter did translate the German obituary you had on find a grave.

Yours has all the information and is already linked up. Why don't we just move the photo and delete mine? Less work.
