Bio and Links
Bio Photo Stories of my Illinois ancestors were shared with me by my great grandmother Grace Ellen Smith Scanlon at an early age and this sparked a deep interest in genealogy. After many years of library and Internet research I decided to visit the areas where my Smith, Rowland, and Wilkerson ancestors once lived. I've now made several trips to Illinois, specifically Montgomery County, and over the course of these visits have developed an intense interest in documenting cemeteries. My main focus is on abandoned cemeteries that are difficult for many to visit and are in the greatest need of being documented.

It's exciting to research how everyone in a cemetery is related to each other and I enjoy getting emails from descendants who have discovered pictures of their ancestors graves here on this fabulous site.

Closer to home my Mom and I are helping with photo requests and general clean-up at Grand View Memorial Park in Glendale.

As part of my masters thesis I am currently researching and finding the graves of all the victims of the St. Francis Dam disaster.

I do my best to provide complete and accurate information in all my postings. Corrections are encouraged! I will gladly transfer memorials to family and I am happy share my photographs (please make note of photo provided by...). If I have offended anyone by adding their loved ones to the site please let me know and I will promptly remove the memorial.

I can be contacted at ann.stoddard@gmail.com

Correction to Memorial in Asbury Cemetery
In Raymond, Montgomery, Illinois, Asbury Cemetery you have listed Sarah Ann Hudson Clark's husband as William B Clark. His name is actually Walker B. Clark. He was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky.

Thanks,

Debbie

Lulu B. Smith Sheff
Hi Ann, Wondering if you had run across any information on Lulu B. Smith, (abt 1905)? One of 2 daughters or Frank R. and Maude Smith.

I believe she married Jessie LeRoy Sheff and later divorced some time after the 1930 census. Can't seem to locate anything on her after that time period.

RE: Willie George
You are very welcome. Such a tragedy about the dam. I see that you had family in Montgomery County. Both sides of my family are in Macoupin and Madison County, Illinois.
Have a wonderful day, Kim
