Bio Photo I locate Civil War and Spanish American War Veteran graves in Orange County, California. As a Land Surveyor I place highly accurate GPS coordinates on the grave locations and photograph the grave markers to incorporate into FindAGrave and assist the Orange County California Genealogical Society (OCCGS) for the biographies they are writing on these Veterans.
Biographies for Civil War and Spanish American War (work in progress) are located at: http://occgs.com/

RE: Orange Co. C.W. Veterans
Hello again,First, let me thank you for being so kind in sharing your photo's. Yes, I would like a photo of Helen Stebbins marker. There is one on Find a Grave, but can't read it. There are two other soldiers there that we don't have photo's for John and Milon Greenough. That will give us 100% of Orange Co.

In reference to Helen Stebbins; She was born in Burlington, Vermont, and was credited from there for Civil War service. There is a page for her on vermontcivilwar.org There are a couple news articles on her, and her pension record. I would love to know more-- a bit more research.
I spoke with Tom Ledoux this morning ( webmaster of the Vt. C.W. site) He said you can use anything off the site, but please credit "vermontcivilwar.org"

maybe you would ask at the cemetery, or of a Veterans organization about getting her a flag and holder--??

Have a good day,

WOW!!! Thank you so much. I would like the higher resolution, if you don't mind. I hate to be a bother to you. Do you happen to have a photo of Helen Stebbins? She was a Civil War nurse, and recorded as being buried in Fairhaven Memorial Park, Snta Ana. Getting that would be like hitting the jack pot.

Thank you, again

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had roots/ties to Vermont. I have seen that you have contributed photo's of such patriots to Find A Grave memorials in Orange County. May I use those photo's to post on the Vermont Civil War site? (www.vermontcivilwar.org)
Thank you for your consideration.

RE: Harlan Fairbanks
Hi

Good to have the mystery solved.

I think you need to transfer the memorial back to me, and then I can delete it.

Thanks,

Al

Harlan Fairbanks
Seeing you had him buried in Santa Ana, CA was quite surprised since his tombstone is in MA. Please see Memorial #10310577. This should clear this up.

Thanks so much.

RE: Santa Ana Cemetery Grave
Looks like that Billion Grave location was off a little. Can't trust them, but they are somewhat close. I think I might have seen you at the cemetery yesterday, driving a blue car by the IOOF Section. By the time I turned around, if that was you, you were already leaving the cemetery. Chris
