|Penny Neeson||Luvenia Smith Doughty #80681202|
Do you happen to have any other information about Luvenia. The strange thing is she matches an aunt I am trying to locate from Missouri, where I live. She was born around 1872-73, her parents names are Jasper Newton Smith and Elizabeth Jane Lee and she married her sister's husband after she died, Jefferson Edward Doughty. I am trying to figure out if this is her, and how did she end up in Siskiyou county, California. Any help you might be able to give would be appreciated. Thank You Penny Neeson.

Thanks for the obit photo. However, you need to remove it. Find A Grave no longer allows these types of photos. Also, you uploaded it as a headstone photo. You should have selected Other, not Grave.
Please use the edit tab on the memorial to let me know the name of the newspaper, location of newspaper (city, state) and date published. I will then add the pertinent info from the obit.

Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?

|Anita Savage||RE: burials in Winema Cemetery|
Thank you for all of your work on the Winema Cemetery. You mentioned a source for locating the graves of Hezekiah King and James King, as from Siskiyou Co. Death Index.
How could I find this death index? Does the death index state approximately where the graves are located in the cemetery? It is our goal to place markers if we can find the locations of their graves.
In 2011 we went to the Museum in Weed and there was a book titled, "Winema Cemetery". On page 54 and 55 is a list of names taken from an old record book that belonged to Winema Cemetery. It states that the old record book may have been the Redmen's book. This book explains that the reason for this list is that these people were buried in the Winema Cemetery. At times the buyer was listed, not the deceased. The dates are often when they were buried not the death date. On this list is King, James A. 5-1-1941 and King, Jim father 1918.
Thank you for helping me and for transferring the memorials to me.

You have graciously added photos for the burial location for Hezekiah Sylverster King and his son, James A. King in Winema Cemetery in Weed, CA.
Could you tell me how you found the Siskiyou County death index? I noticed that the death index was your source for their burial location in the cemetery.
My husband descends from Hezekiah King. I would appreciate it if I could manage two memorials:
Hezekiah Sylverster King, 97936502
James A. King, 97936278
My member number is 46816116
Thank you so much,
