A little about me...
Glasgow High School graduate

I have always enjoyed oral history at an early age. Wish I had asked more questions now... In 1994 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, went through surgery and chemo, I was given 3-6 years to live. So after I recovered from the treatments, in 1996 I decided to sell my home of 20 years and go on the road to research my family 1st-hand that were in my family files. I became a "fulltimeRVer" for six years; following the paths of my ancestors was a memorable experience and very humbling at times. I visited so many places I would never have visited otherwise... courthouses, libraries, cemeteries, meeting family and getting to actually stand on family land that my ancestors owned. Well, I am still here, I guess I still have ancestors to find and their stories to tell..... the oral history is out there, I just have to find the descendant that it was passed down to..

In addition to my family lines, I research Allen, Barren, Butler, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe and Warren Counties in KY. (South Central KY)

Dennison Family
Hi Laura! It is definitely a small world because I just noticed that you also have done some research on the Dennison family. My great-grandfather was Noah Dennison. His parents were Marshal and Louisa Dennison. Do you have any other information on siblings of Noah?? Thanks again!

McAlisters in Bowling Green
Hi Laura: Thank you for your informative postings. I will be visiting Isham Henry McAlister's grave in Bowling Green this weekend. His son, James Ray McAlister, was my grandfather. I may have time to visit his notorious brother, Arthur McAlister as well! Kelly McAlister Spiegel

Cherry Family
Good afternoon, Laura! I am doing some family history work and have come to a wall. I hope that you may be able to help me. I am looking for information on George W and Starling M Cherry. Do you know where they are buried? William Mack Cherry is one of your memorials and that is one of their sons. Garland Cherry is another son of theirs and he is also my great-grandfather. Any help with the Cherry family that you may be able to provide would be helpful! Thank you!

Thank You
Laura, Your research is fantastic and your story even more so!!! I came across this in researching Cassandra Baker & John Winstanley for my new grandson Liam born this year.

I agree with you that so many people do not give credit to the real researchers.

We are deeply in debt to you for making these ancestors come alive.

Gratefully, Vicki Frazer Arnold
