We are both retired Air Force members. We were looking for something to keep us busy and Mary found this site while working on the Family Tree. We decided to become volunteers to help others be able to see the grave sites of family members in a far away place.
We are working on the family names: Cavender & Stark - Kentucky and Tennessee Kasper & Bartz - Michigan and Illinois Costa, McGurr, & Vose - Massachusetts Nieforth, Slade, & Sinfield - Nova Scotia Canada & New England
Please consider this as permission to copy or repost any photo we place on Find-A-Grave for your personal use only.
Any memorial that we add, we will gladly transfer to anyone who wants to manage it.
Ella Day True I noticed you have my 2nd great grandmother,Ella Day True on Find a grave site. There are about 10 other children to be listed. Are you a relative of Ella's? Would you want to add the names, if I send them to you, or would you want to turn this over to me to take care of. Thanks very much. Larie Chandler-Bardwell Ky.
Photo request for Eason Graves Thank you so much for taking the monument photos of Daphne & William Eason! I have just begun in the last few weeks working to link my father's siblings on FindAGrave and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your volunteer time! Thank you again!
Lloyd, Joyce and Robert Stills Helping those who live so far away from their deceased loved ones is not only a selfless act of kindness on your part, it is a cherished and priceless gift that you give to us. Your time and effort are much appreciated; you're an asset to this web site! Thank you so much
RE: Alexander Leonard 94725432 Do you mean the cemetery was Alexander is buried? If so, it looks like that isn't much of a cemetery anymore, but a memorial park. I was curious and googled the name, and it seems that most of the bodies were moved to Mountain View Cemetery. The photograph that someone took looks like just a name on a memorial plaque, or it could be a niche? Too bad there wasn't a photo taken from farther back.
I think that any definitive information on Alexander's burial, age at time of death, etc. might be found in the hall of records for the County of San Bernardino. Maybe the only way to know for sure would be to try to order a death certificate, except that without the year of death, I don't think they will do a search. Maybe if they were asked to look at 1902 and 1922.
RE: Alexander Leonard 94725432 Oh blast it! Well, can't say you didn't try. If the year of death is not changed on his memorial, I am not going to link him to Kyle. It seems pretty obvious to me that Kyle just took on his stepfather's name.
Oh well. Thanks for taking part in the investigation!
