Bio Photo Kit (Elaine Page-Benson) attended Pfeiffer College in NC for two years and Glassboro State College in NJ for three years. She was a Law Enforcement Officer and Detective in NC for 10 years. She taught Special Education students for 9 years, and spent a year teaching students in a junior high school in-school suspension program. She now spends her time on nature trails, with quilting & crafting, reading, photography and genealogy.

Morgan graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1972, and a MBA in 1984 from University of Scranton (PA). He spent twelve years working overseas in Germany, a tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and had a variety of assignments at various Army installations in the US. They live in Alaska, where Morgan works as an Energy Engineer.

Together we have 5 children and six grand-children. We enjoy sight seeing, visiting National Parks and State Parks throughout the USA, reading, photography, history, Volksmarching and hiking, learning and seeing the history of our great country, and GENEALOGY!

RE: George Wallace 5816415
Well I certainly can confirm everything you say about pre‑20c spelling and naming, and wouldn't be too surprised at Capt. Wallace having himself used both names; and as you say, we'll probably never know, and you may have noticed that on my page for the man I'm very noncommittal about the name! (Side note: much of my website is ancient Roman stuff: if already 150 years later good knowledge is already lost, imagine what happens in 2000…)

At any rate, if you see a clear primary source for David, I'd be interested; I'm trying to make my edition of Cullum's Register as useful and accurate as possible, of course. Thanks for the time you spent on this for me!

George Wallace 5816415
On the Find-a‑Grave page, the statement is made that this man's name is sometimes mistakenly given as George Daniel Wallace. Do you have a primary source for the middle name David?

Heitman's Historical Register and Dictionary of the United States Army, 1903, has Daniel. Like everything else, of course, it has mistakes from time to time; it's als an unofficial and secondary source, some years after the man's death; but the Official Register of Officers and Cadets of the U. S. Military Academy, June, 1869, has him listed (p20) as George Daniel in the entering 4th Class at West Point: that's a contemporaneous primary source, in essence the admissions office of the university he was currently attending. (The 1870‑1872 Registers are inconclusive, as is his obituary at the Association of Graduates: listing him only as George D.).

It would be good to clear up the mystery!

Kind regards,
Bill Thayer

RE: Reynolds Family Cemetery, Kent County Delaware
Oh no! That's terrible!
I was on my way from one cemetery to the next when I came across the Reynold's cemetery and I stopped and took pics but I forgot to log the location! Oy!

Thank You!
Thank you for the transfer of Clayton Kille's memorial. I expanded his bio section to include details given in the "Poems" book compiled by Binford T. Shreve for his mother, Elizabeth (Kille) Shreve Chambers. Eventually I'll add more details and work on making the content flow a little better. I've linked the family members I manage to Clayton's memorial, and would appreciate you linking the memorials of Rachel Gaskill and Elizabeth Shreve Chambers. Best Regards, John D.

Thank you so much for linking my great-aunt to the rest of her family. I have a photo somewhere when she visited us in Nebraska. I will add that to the memorial.
