Bio and Links
Bio Photo We are both retired Air Force members. Don spent 24 years and Mary spent 21 years in the Air Force. We were looking for something to keep us busy and Mary found this site while working on the Family Tree. We decided to become volunteers to help others be able to see the grave sites of family members in a far away place.

We are working on the family names Cavender, Stark, Kasper, Bartz, Costa, Vose, McGurr, Nieforth, and Slade.

Please consider this as permission to copy or repost any photo we place on Find-A-Grave for your personal use only.

Any memorial that we add, we will gladly transfer to anyone who wants to manage it.

Locketts in Roscoe Cemetery...
Thank you for adding the headstone pictures for my set of Lockett's. I am so very late in noticing the them. But I do greatly appreciate you adding them to their pages.

I looked today for the stone you have requested a photo of. It's not there yet, but it's early in the spring. If someone else doesn't get to it first, I'll check again in a few weeks.

RE: Charles William Tucker
Our records say that Charles Tucker, died 30 May 1842 at age 33 years was "buried beside D. Tucker's stone." And the location given is plot C-111. That is the picture i took for you (since removed). We have no David Tucker, only Daniel. So according to what we have, it appears the Charles who died 1842 is in that space.

Perhaps your guy was associated with both David (buried elsewhere in 1870s) and our Daniel?

It if helps, the other 2 stones in that row are Dorcas and Lydia, wives of Daniel who are memorialized on one stone, Dorcas died 25 Jan 1785 at age 21 and Lydia died 23 March 1816 age 50. They are just to the left of the Daniel I had posted. Then to their left is Eleazer (son of Daniel and Lydia) who died 13 Aug 1812 at age 14.

hope this helps

RE: Charles William Tucker
OK, if your "D." was David who died in the 1870's it is far more likely he is buried at Evergreen Cemetery across town. Our cemetery was "closed" as of around 1850. People who had purchased family tombs that still had room in them were the exception. So i wonder if your guy is actually buried elsewhere. Let me know if you want me to take that picture down from the memorial page. No need to have the wrong photo there (i think i can remove a pic... not sure) let me know

Joseph L. Vose
Thank you for the edits on Joseph Vose. I am accepting your edit of his death date as Jan 1, 1876 because that's what the death record say. But I'm letting you know that Margaret Jenks' transcription of his gravestone says Jan. 31, 1876, which is where I got the information. I'll photograph the gravestone this summer, and depending on what I find, I may change the date of death back to match the gravestone.

Bartz at St. Boniface
Hi, I did not find a headstone for Jacob Bartz. He is buried in a special section of this cemetery for German immigrants who fought in the Civil War. I will post a photo of the plot where he is buried, some of the stones cannot be deciphered. There is also a monument for the veterans on the site.
