We are both retired Air Force members. We were looking for something to keep us busy and Mary found this site while working on the Family Tree. We decided to become volunteers to help others be able to see the grave sites of family members in a far away place.|
We are working on the family names:
Cavender & Stark - Kentucky and Tennessee
Kasper & Bartz - Michigan and Illinois
Costa, McGurr, & Vose - Massachusetts
Nieforth, Slade, & Sinfield - Nova Scotia Canada & New England
Please consider this as permission to copy or repost any headstone/marker photo we place on Find-A-Grave for your personal use only. Any personal photos of individuals please send me a request for the photo and how you are related.
Any memorial that we add, we will gladly transfer to anyone who wants to manage it.

|Robb Watterson||RE: William Cecil Vose|
Just thought that I'd let you know that I visited Arllington National Cemetery this weekend. I took several photos of ADM Vose's Gravesite. I uploaded them to his Fnd A Grave Page. He must have had an impressive Career! He is buried on a Hill near Admirals Leahy and Bull Halsey. I hope you enjoy the Photos. I took a bunch more. Let me know if you'd like me to send them to you.
The dates you sent to be edited are different from on the monument. Where did you get the information you sent for Jennie Coursey?
Will change if needed.

This is the reason I always require documentation and post the names of the researchers. There are many on the Find a grave blogs who want nothing but names, dates and pictures of the stones and this is the reason. We always accuse them of numbers hunting but when genealogists like you and me get so caught up, as we should in getting the information correct and so many researchers are not schooled in the careful examination of the records and families the facts get muddy. And may I had very time consuming if your are the holder of the post. Notice that a Johnson supplied me with that information. Now if this is your family I would love to transfer him to you and let you sort it all out. The family are connected to me by the Enloes and they were neighbors of our farm other than that no connection. Please let me know?

I processed some of your edits because I already had documentation for them but the one deleting his 2 wife or 1st wife which ever is the case would change information without documentation. What do you have as proof for this request? and please please, please when you send edits also send some form of proof for the changes. We are a team trying to make find a grave better and better. Thanks for all you do.

Agreed...I was posting records I was finding so I could see it all at one time. Hopefully I will get them figured out. The relation would be distant to me. Both babies had names but the tombstone doesn't reflect that so I thought it should at least be in the bio anyway. I would be fine with leaving it as the tombstone indicates or how you have it now. If you want to transfer them, that's fine too, and I'll work on them again over the weekend.

You are welcome.
It is my pleasure to be a Find A Grave volunteer and to provide pictures for people.

The birth cert on the memorial page for Clara Phinney is likely incorrect. A volunteer tried to get a photo of the gravestone, but unfortunately there is no marker there.
I am pretty sure the Old Maine birth cert on the memorial page is incorrect, because every census report from 1860 on for her shows her as born about 1851--women don't usually lie to make themselves older, especially not starting at age 8! Ha ha.
The Old Maine birth certs are great, but they were copies of records, and errors occur.

I posted pictures for Charles and Sophronia Vose in Cedar Grove in Dorchester, MA. On the same stone as Sophronia, there is also a child named Gertrude Coleman. I created a memorial for her if you would like it, just let me know.
|fpw||Henry Hampton Stark|
I cannot find John H. Stark on the 1900 Census, would you please tell me where & when he was born.
Since Henry Hampton Stark was born in 1889, I cannot find him in the 1900 Census anywhere. In 1910 he was already married. Thanks
