My particular areas of interest are Berks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, Chester, Montour and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania. My strongest passion is to locate and honor all war veterans who sacrificed healthy lives and sometimes their adulthood. They must never be forgotten.|
Many contributors are speculating on burial locations of old pioneer family members with no proof of burial. This may be encouraged by contributors who will not link to memorials listed as unknown cemetery. This practice is very deceiving for serious researchers who will be misguided in their research for accurate results. It also is misleading for those requesting gravesite photos.
Please consider that the information given in memorials is not only provided by the memorial manager but also by others through edit requests which cannot always be verified. These edit requests could also be added without the review of the memorial manager if not acknowledged in a given time period.
Please do not speculate on a middle name by suggesting a surname. I will not add without some official record such as obituary,death,burial,birth record,tombstone or individual's signature. Edit requests for maiden names are most welcome. I prefer to display names as they are most commonly perceived by skilled researchers and/or as they appear on the tombstone.
My thanks and devotion to you who are courteous, polite and appreciative. Those who are rude, demanding and condescending, are not in the best interests of findagrave principles.
My Patriots of the Revolution include:
George Herbst 1712, George Dry 1725, Johannes Koch 1725, Jacob VanReed 1726, Daniel Guldin 1735, Johann Christian Scheidt 1736, Michael DeLong 1739, Bernhard Eitel 1745, Michael Krebs 1744, Henrich Knauss 1746, John De Turck 1747, Marmaduke Von Buskirk 1750, John Grant 1754, Sebastian Koch 1757. My Loyalist who fought for the British is Christian Flicker.

Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown, Berks, Pa
Hi, I think there's an error with Charles Scheirer. His father was Charles Scheirer, 10 Jan 1814-29 Sep 1893, same cemetery. His mother was Elizabeth (Ressler) Scheirer, 1822-1903. His wife is correctly named as Elizabeth (Pauley) Scheirer. Please check this out if you have some time.
Thanks, Brigitte Scherer firstname.lastname@example.org
|James Keppeler||Valentine Sterner|
Hi, I noticed on your entry for Valentine Sterner that you list his date of death as Jan. 9 1797. This date is actually his probate date,not his death date. This would mean his date of death would have been before Jan. 9 1797, and most likely in 1796 since probate dates usually occur a while after the death and burial. Here's a link to the probate record: https://tinyurl.com/probaterecord

Thanks Neil D Scheidt,
Thank you so much for fulfilling my request for a photo for her tombstone, as well as all the others you have provided.

Thank you for finding and posting my great great grandparents memorial. I actually got to meet my great great grand mom. She passed away in June 1979. I would have been 7 years old. Thanks again!
|Diane Gravlee||Folk grave markers|
Neil, thanks so much once again for photographing my Folk relatives' markers. Hope you are feeling well again and will have a good summer.
|Sharon ||# 47502313 Valentine Hartman|
Thank you trying to photograph Valentine Hartman's grave site back in March. Valentine Hartman is my maternal 5th great grandfather. Findagrave.com indicated the grave is inaccessible or on private property. I was under the impression the grave is located in Spies Zion Cemetery, a public cemetery. I would like to document the issue, if that is the case in my tree. I appreciate your effort.

I appreciate your recent posting of the Bernville photo on Balzer Umbenhauer's memorial page, from whom I am descended.
Thank you for your work on find a grave.
|Mark Maxwell||Bennevile HOCH/DEWEES|
In rounding out my Dewees section of the William Richards family I came across this conundrum.
HOCH Cemetery in Fleetwood has the following entries:
Benneville Dewees #158136212 by you
born:18MAY1823 died 15APR1883
spouse: Susan Dewees #115094285 by Ann Wagner
Bennevile Hoch #85070859 by you
born:18MAY1823 died 15APR1883
spouse: Susanna Rothermel Hoch #85071012 by you
Somehow, Susanna Rothermel is also her own spouse that was entered by Ann Wagner.
Ann has a headstone photo of Benneville and Susanna Hoch together on her entry. #115094376
Thank you for taking the time and effort to get the photograph of her headstone and the family thanks you also

Thank-you very much for taking the time to look it up and letting me know it is a different person than the one I am looking for.
