| Bio and Links |
I will add any information, bio's, links, etc on request and usually add as soon as received. However, requests must meet site criteria. Please keep in mind that repetition is frowned on. Also see: FAQ #150 - What Info Can I Include In A Bio?
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer.
Due to occasionally receiving misinformation, I now save all SAC's."
My message page has been turned off due to people not using the correct means of conact. This correct means is always the edit tab located at the top right corner of every memorial. Using this gives me the correct link to the memorial in reference. It also prevents your message from falling into my spam mail and it being missed altogether. I can always be reached via of the edit tab on any memorial for comments, etc.
In regards to information and photo's added, please see this site: Copyright Fundamentals for Genealogy
I DO NOT LINK TO BURIAL UNKNOWN unless it fits the criteria set by the site: Under the new guidelines, burial unknowns are subject to removal after 30 days. Burial Unknown
The SSDI only lists the last address where benefits were received, not where someone actually died. Please do not send death locations based on the SSDI.
Also please keep in mind, more and more of us are running into this problem, The contributor does not owe anyone an explanation of who they are kin to or how. Most of us have fulfilled our genealogical purposes and prefer to remain unknown. It is YOUR reponsibility to inform us as to how YOU link to any transfer request. Request simply asking for a transfer with no reference as to how you are related or why you desire this memorial will no longer be acknowledged and deleted on sight.
I decline to give permission to use my photos for resale, for profit, or to upload to a different web site.
For those that only add family, yet request transfers, that is HOARDING. You have nothing to offer but desire to take. I also have my family here, however to just have them and not add anything else to me is considered very self centered. "As a local historian who maintains a database of area families totally unrelated to me, my interest is in ALL graves in the area." I have worked very hard adding cemetery information for future generations. Please respect the work of all contributors who take time to unselfishly add for the sharing of others. | |
