I was born in CA.and moved to IA.in 1971 when my Dad retired from the U.S.Navy.He was born in Blanchard,IA.I served as an Infantry Scout in the Army National Guard.|
I DO NOT deal with the Atlantic Cemetery Sexton. The CCGS Cemetery books were done in 1986 so later burials are by chance or contacting the cemetery for a location.Their phone #712-243-1254.I will make every attempt to locate a stone on my own but the cemetery is quite large.
I personally find it disturbing that someone would rather hold on to a memorial that they are not related to because of the findagrave 4 generation "guidelines".It is a guideline people not a rule.Geez!
I would prefer my created memorials were with family no matter how far down the line or even a friend. At least they are FAMILY or a FRIEND!Isn't that why we do this?
DUPLICATES-I will gladly remove any duplicate memorial whether mine was made first or not as long as it isnt family.
Any questions, additions, corrections,or transfers don't be afraid to ask.Findagrave is not about "numbers" to me.Making sure people are remembered and not forgotten is.
If I use your gravestone photo on my family tree I give you credit with a simple "Photo courtesy of (your member name) findagrave".Because I so appreciate the kindness and hard work you do to get me a picture of my ancestors.
Any and all pictures I take are for you,so they are yours to use as you feel. The only exception being those marked "Courtesy of" which means I got those from someone else and was used with their permission.
If I have added a family member or your memorial and you have not passed yet and it upsets you PLEASE let me know and I will remove it immediately. It is not my intention to upset anyone.
I AM NOT,NOR DO I CLAIM TO BE PERFECT!

Thank you for the help.
This is a very large and complex family.
Lewis married Sarah, and they had 7 children.
After Sarah died, Lewis married Lucy Ann, a widow with five children, and then, together Lewis and Lucy had five more children. That's 17 children!
To add to the complexity, some of the children from the first marriages married, so essentially they married their step siblings.
Trying to document and sort it all out.
Thank you again for the help.
For all the Miller photos. Small world. I'm sort of related to Cathy below by marriage. And I echo her sentiments. I mean it should be common sense sort of one of those everything you needed to know you learned in kindergarten kind of deals. Margo

|MWH||Thanks so much!|
I will put them on Ancestry for the rest of the family researchers! I know we all really appreciate your work. And thanks for your note about removing living persons headstones. I ran into someone that blew me off on one & it is really great having people like who are just about helping families. And I spent way too many hot summers in Iowa growing up, now I 'd love to go visit again. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for taking/uploading the picture of Jessie Louise Lippincott's headstone. I really appreciate it!
I just posted a message with Wm & SJ Donath.
You might read it about my relationship. I have information on Simon including his obit from the Griswold American. I grew up just south of the Weirich cemetery and have found the graves of most relatives in the Lyman, Grant and Atlantic cemeteries. Are you related or just interested in your cemetery findings of the family?
