Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in CA.and moved to IA.in 1971 when my Dad retired from the U.S.Navy.He was born in Blanchard,IA.

I served as an Infantry Scout in the Army National Guard. So seeking out stones is right up my alley.Lol.

I DO NOT deal with the Atlantic Cemetery Sexton. The cemeter phone # 712-243-1254.I will make every attempt to locate a stone on my own.

I personally find it disturbing that someone would rather hold on to a memorial that they are not related to because of the findagrave 4 generation "guidelines".It is a GUIDELINE people not a RULE.Geez!

I would prefer my created memorials were with family no matter how far down the line or even a friend. At least they are FAMILY or a FRIEND!Isn't that why we do this?

DUPLICATES-I will gladly remove any duplicate memorial whether mine was made first or not.Findagrave IS NOT about "numbers" to me.

Any questions, additions, corrections,or transfers don't be afraid to ask.I find it very RUDE for someone to send along a correction, edit, addition etc, without at least a "Would you" add, edit etc.REMEMBER you are asking someone to do something for you!

If I use your gravestone photo on my family tree I give you credit with a simple "Photo courtesy of (your member name) findagrave".Because I so appreciate the kindness and hard work you do to get me a picture of my ancestors.

Any and all pictures I take are for you,so they are yours to use as you feel. The only exception being those marked "Courtesy of" which means I got those from someone else and was used with their permission.

If I have added a family member or your memorial and you have not passed yet and it upsets you PLEASE let me know and I will remove it immediately. It is not my intention to upset anyone.

I AM NOT,NOR DO I CLAIM TO BE PERFECT!

RE: Glennis & Mildred Tharp
Glenn,
You're very welcome. Glad to help. I don't know if you noticed or not but there is another Glennis Tharp buried there that passed in 2006. I suspect it's Glennis and Mildred's grandson. Also, Michael Riddell's mother was a Tharp.

Merry Christmas.

Nadine

RE: Lena Johnston Boone
You're welcome, Glenn. I have a question for you: Do you know if Lena is related to Donald and Alice Johnston? They are buried together in the row right above Lena. I created memorials for them. If you find out anything about them, let me know and I will make a notation or links on their memorials.

Happy to be of service.

Best regards,
B.J.

Wiota Cem Cass Co., IA - ENGLE surname
Glenn, thank you for posting the Engle family buried in Wiota Cem., Cass Co., IA. That is something Leland Stanford Engle would have done, himself, if he could have managed to live into the Findagrave era. He was a son of Leonard A. Engle, whom is interred in Wiota Cem. Leland explained that 4 siblings of his father, Silas 'Edgar'; Anna D.; James 'Luther'; and Eliza 'Liza' J. Engle, all died in 1876 of either scarlett fever or dyptheria. Because of your postings and photos, it is easy to see those 4 siblings share two upright monuments.
Perhaps you could add this story to their memorials? These children, including Leonard A. Engle, were the off-spring of John Martin Engle & Mary Jane Smith, who are also buried at Wiota Cem. I clicked on 'Edit' and it took me to a page to post the message. Looks like they've changed their format? Anyway, I thought it would go to you for review, but now, I'm not so sure. Therefore, this message.
Again, thank you for your labor of love. Greatly appreciated.
