Bio and Links
Bio Photo I grew up in the northeast part of Dallas, Texas, in the Lake Highlands area.

Now I live in the Colorado mountains in the remote Town of Alpine, Colorado, Pop. 12, just 16 miles westsouthwest of Buena Vista, Colorado with my wife Pat. The winters are long here at 9,300 feet, perfect for and Find-a-Grave work.

My family names include Lockett, Nash, Roberts, Bunn, Gilliland/Gililland, Stokes, Williams, Roberts and many, many more.

You have my permission to use any photos I have on Find A Grave for personal use.

If you find a memorial I manage and it is your family, or the person is a closer relative than I am, please contact me and I will be happy to transfer the management of the memorial to you.

It is a pleasure to match family with family.

Mary C Lockett
Mike, after looking more closely, Mary's stone says she died in Huntsville rather than in Marion as her Find A Grave writeup says. I'm still curious how she wound up in Huntsville.

Lucius Junius Lockett
Mike, I think we corresponded a couple of years back. Since then we have discovered Col. Lockett buried in Marion AL in my ancestor Edward Fowlkes' plot. His stone had slipped beneath the grass and broken, but he's now on FindAGrave. Since there is a photo of his sister Mary (of Confederate flag fame)on her Find A Grave site, I'm wondering if by any chance you have a photo of Lucius. He was married to my ancestor Elizabeth Keeble Fowlkes, a daughter of Edward. Lucius and Mary's mother, Selina, is buried quite near the Fowlkes plot.

I notice that Mary died in Marion, but is buried in Huntsville. Do you know why she is in Huntsville?

Virginia B Featherston
Finally found ! Virginia B Featherston, daughter of William Booker Featherston Sr. Born 1851 in Va. Married William Diver McWhorter before 1880 (likely 1870-1874). 1880 census shows Jinnie B McWorter (McWhorter) two children likely by her, Selanor B1874/5 and Jone B1876/7. As I reported earlier she likely died in 1883.

I found her on the 1940 Census, divorced, using her maiden name, with a daughter Lottie Lockett, age 16.

You mention two of my grandparents in your notes for Woody B Lockett, James Henry and John Winston my gggrandfather and ggrandfather respectly. The first time I found John's middle name correct as Winston other than Mary Wesley Lockett's petition for civil war pension(which was never granted, James H. was), just in case you are interested, James Henry's father was Elam Lockett, Elam's was Francis Lockett, his was Benjamin Jr,his, Benjamin and Benjamin was the son of Thomas Lockett who married Margeret Osborne, grandaughter of Jamestown's Capt Osborne. I would really like to know who is buried in the Lockett plot in Ettrick. Thank-you, Gordon Lockett

Wondering if you have any information about the Litchfields. James Litchfield's mother was Mary Jane Thorne Litchfield Altman. She married my mother's great-great grandfather, Nathan Altman. Her memorial number is 43849917. James had a brother named John Thomas Litchfield.
