I'm working on collateral Cain lines and have an approx. date for her b. 1857 / she was 2 yrs. older than John in 1880 census. Her maiden name was Arnold. Also they had a second child, George W. Cain b. abt. 1876 in IL. Then John's mother was Jane E. Hart Cain who died in 1892 in Friend, Saline Co., Neb., so she came west with the children. His father, Ephraim was buried in Hillsdale, IL Bethesda Cemetery d. Oct. 9, 1869. IF you would like anymore info on this line, I'd be glad to share.

Thank you very much for the photos of Ellen and Edom's marker. Besides looking good, they are quite readable!

I'd like to ask another favor. Would you add the photo of the whole stone to the Find A Grave memorial of Ellen's husband, Edom Shugart 24562766. Or, if you prefer, I could add it, crediting the photo to you in the caption.

Yes, the dates. Thanks! My great-grandfather was a brother of Esther JACKS Poore and I am trying to link the family on find a grave. I created a memorial for her today. I guess I wondered if you could see the "days" on Bertie's gravestone. I can't read them. Are you related?

Ben & Eliz Patterson
I notice that you have documented a Benjamin and Elizabeth Patterson in Ulysses Cemetery in Butler County Nebraska.

Am I to understand that they have no stones and no dates? How do you document them?

I am looking for a Benjamin and Elizabeth and have been expecting to find them in Farnam or Orafino, but have not had any success. Their son William Buchanan Patterson and wife are in the Farnam location.

Benjamin would be about 1820 - 1886
Elizabeth would be about 1812 - 1895

Thanks for the work you are doing.

Hannas family
I found 2 Hanna's that were killed in World War II and am trying to link them together. Both are from York Nebraska. Bryce E. Hanna and James R Hanna. I found out James is the son of a Dr. Edwin Hanna but so far I don't know the parents of Bryce. Thanks for anything you can do Loren.

John Chester Sandall
First of All thanks for the Photos. I am still trying to figure this one out. There is a John Chester Sandall from York killed in World War 1(1918) and we have another John Chester Sandall also from York killed in World War II(1944). I am still not sure how they are related . scratching my head. Loren
