|Bio and Links|
I have been doing my family and my husband's family reaearch since 2008. I would love to hear from anyone who has connections. The surnames I am researching include, Bruman, Houck, Knoche, Lange, Grobbel, Dice, Howe, Seasons, and Collins. Locations include Detroit, Warren, Centerline, Lapeer, North Branch, Burnside, Five Lakes, and Kings Mill in Michigan, McLeod County in Minnesota, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and North Adams, Massachusetts.|
I have established many memorial pages as I learn the burial sites. If I have established a memorial page for someone who is dear to you, please let me know and I will do a transfer. I am not related to anyone in Tennessee, so I am willing to transfer any Tennessee memorials. Please make your request through the edit tab.
Out of respect for each individual memorialized on this site, please summarize biographical information in a nicely written paragraph rather than submitting a canned form of raw data from census records, death indices, and other documents.
Although Find a Grave allows records such as death certificates or military documents to be uploaded on the memorial pages, I would prefer you not upload them if they are findable online. It is important to leave that space available for items like photos of the person and their marker. The information found on these documents can be summarized in the biography. It is nice to open a memorial and find a cemetery photo, marker photo, or even a personal picture. I feel like I am actually virtually visiting the final resting place.

Louise--Thanks for letting me know you photographed all markers in this cemetery, and did not find one for her. I appreciate your many contributions to the Find A Grave database, and wish you success in your research into your own family history. Kathy

Thanks. I will take care of the site but not real sure how to do a transfer.
A correction needed
William is the third son of Rebecca, and Abner Hester is his father (therefor buried in Hester Cemetery) and also the father of Abner Clinton Liles. The father of Newton and Major L is unknown

Thank you so much for your effort to fulfill my request for a photo of my 3rd great grandmother's grave...I am disappointed to learn that her grave isn't marked. I have removed my photo request. Again, thanks for trying!

Thanks very much for the transfer of one of my relatives!

I'll be happy to transfer all three if you like...just let me know.

Thank you for your edits, and the explanation. I bet Rose's mother's middle name was Rose, or someone just filled out the form wrong. Is this family in your family tree?
|Larry Liles||RE: William Liles|
The evidence is not available on line. I confirmed with personal research.
Abner C Liles was linked to Rebecca Liles, b. 1810 d after 1880, with Roane County TN Bastardy Court records, his father being Abner Hester. William's birth date was given in these records as a second child but his name not mentioned. Newton and Major's father is unknown. Ditto for daughters Sarah (McCormac) and Rebecca J (Ward)
In Civil War pension records, Older brother Newton (noted as deceased) tended AC when he had measles during the War. Major is identified as a brother in witness testimony. William came back from the war ill and remained so until he died soon after, He was tended by mother Rebecca, and his wife died shortly after him, leaving a daughter Nancy,who was raised by another family. Rebecca is the daughter of Robert David Liles (1759-1848), Rev War soldier.
