I have this ancestor, mother of Ida Mae Leonard Mann, wife of Wilder Leonard who died in Tama, Iowa. Her father was Harry White, a Native American who, I believe was Piqua Shawnee. Would love to find her grave, or her husbands, or records of the family. My grandmother was Irma Mae Mann Kenny, daughter of Ida Mae Leonard Mann and Calvin Austin Mann. Thanks so much, Larry!

Lucinda S Garver Flathers
Hi Larry:
I have been searching for a ancestor that belonged to the William Garner family there in Iowa. They had a daughter Lucinda that was born in 1847. I have here in Tama Iowa in 1860, age 13, then she is gone. I am thinking she got married. I am wondering it this Lucinda GarVer might be my Lucinda GaRner. The web site to the Flathers tree didn't work, so asking you!

Is it possible that the name was given to you wrong, or could there be two Lucinda's out there!

Appreciate your help.

RE: Fred Draper sponsorship

I am not actually related either.

Arthur Elmer Bockes (114015765) and his first wife, Mabel Marguerite "Peg" Axmear Bockes (110802910), almost adopted my Mother, Joyce Darlene Gerard. My Grandmother, Rilla Catherine Fuller Gerard died not long after my Mother was born. Art and Peg had not been able to have children and planned to adopt my Mother, Peg's cousin. Their mutual Grandmother, Mary Ann Taylor Fuller, decided to raise my Mother. Art and Peg did not want to challenge her.

They always sent us gifts at Christmas and we called him Grandpa Art. Since they had no children or grandchildren of their own, I decided to create memorials for them both on Find-a-Grave.

When Elliffen (#48210806) added Art's Obit to the site, it gave me leads to his parents and siblings. Art had two sisters. One was
Florence Anna Bockes Draper and Fred was her husband.

Having said that and written a "history" in this message, I would be honored to have you transfer his memorial to me.

Thanks so much,
