I'm very much hooked on genealogy. Now that I'm retired I am willing to help others and fill photo requests for my area. This site has been a great help to me in finding information and photos and it's time for me to help others. |
I'm currently photographing cemeteries in Hubbard and Eastern Becker county, Minnesota.
During the winter months I have been looking up obituaries to add to memorial pages that appear in the old Park Rapids Enterprise. If you are looking for an obituary you can email me but please make the request during the winter months.
I will add to, change, delete, and Correct any Memorial I've added.
I will be happy to Transfer Memorials according to FAG Guidelines but I will consider other transfers on an individual basis. Please State your relationship when asking for a transfer. I will not transfer Bulk name requests.
Please use the EDIT tab and SAC to ask for a transfer or to have me correct or add information and state your relationship to the person when asking for a transfer.
No need to ask permission if you want to use my photos for ancestry and personal use, but I do appreciate credit given to me for taking them.
Please do not take my photos and upload them to another page on Find a Grave. If you need a photo added to a different page just ask and I will add it.
If you want the Photo's for resale, for profit, permission is denied.
I am Researching these surnames: Reeser/Rieser, Dunham, Curphey, Newell, Lantz, Goble, Adams, Sullivan, Lamb, Bentley, Boyer, Chapin, Wangen, Meisenhelder and Ziegler.

In the event of my death or my becoming inactive for a long period of time I would like all my memorial pages passed on to my son DR Wangen #47374156.

You are welcome - we were happy to help!
You're very welcome, Joan. I went down from the Twin Cities with the list of requests and your is one of the ones I found. Unfortunately I didn't find the marker of my own relative which was why I went there but I was glad to have helped a few other people.

Glad to help out and provide the evidence for Sarah Reaser! I certainly will look for that file your cousin made if I can get to York County! And I am happy to meet a new cousin! I am hoping to get Andreas Rieser the recognition he deserves as an American Patriot and have him entered into the DAR database through my connection to him through his daughter. He deserves that! Happy hunting! Lynda Weiner

Hello Joan, sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you for making the change to Andreas's findagrave entry. Sarah Rieser is my direct relative-- she is my 5th Great grandmother. I am happy to share my information with you. I have the following to prove that Sarah is the daughter of Andreas Reiser:
I was researching my ancestor Matilda Stahl who I discovered is the daughter of Sarah (Rieser) Stahl from the following record:
Hollenbach, Raymond E, "Private Records of Rev Eli Keller, 1874-1913,"(self published, Dec 5, 1975, available at the Lehigh County Historical Society library), p 113. Notes the burial of Matilda Sarah Reinhart, b Nov 18, 1816, d Oct 30, 1905 the daughter of John Stahl and Sarah Reaser.
"The Family of Johann Jacob Stahl, Sr of Lehigh County, PA," compiled by Harriet K Stahl, 1995 (in the holdings of LCHS), p35 Notes that Sarah-Sara Reiser, the daughter of Andreas and Sybilla (Klein) Rieser married Johnathan Stahl.
Sarah is mentioned in the will of Jonathan Stahl,
Will Records-Name Jonathan Stahl
Probate Date 1826, Probate Place Lehigh, Pennsylvania, USA, Inferred Death Year Abt 1826, Inferred Death Place Pennsylvania, USA
Case Number 711
Item Description Estate Papers, File 657-795
wife and widow is Sarah, Upper Milford, 7 Oct 1826
I did an exhaustive search for any birth or baptism records at LCHS but was unable to locate anything for her.
I also show the existence of a young female in his household in 1810 in this census:
1810 United States Federal Census
Name - Andrew Reasor
Home in 1810 (City, County, State)
Upper Milford, Northampton, Pennsylvania
Free White Persons - Males - 45 and over - 1
Free White Persons - Females - 16 thru 25 - 1
Free White Persons - Females - 45 and over - 1
Number of Household Members Over 25 - 2
Number of Household Members - 3
This would match Andreas at 63, Sybilla at 52, and daughter Sarah at 20
I have seen that others noted Andreas had no children, but as you can see, that is clearly not the case. Like you, I am interested in correcting the record, and appreciate your help in this matter.

Regarding the note on this memorial: I checked with the cemetery and verified that they have a record for Mabel in their files. According to the sexton this would confirm that her ashes were scattered or buried there. Perhaps a note could be added to the memorial with this information.
|Michelle Amsbury||RE: Sponsorship -Thanks|
I have her picture hanging in our bedroom. she always thought her father died and she was orphaned.
I did all of the research on her and her family in the 1990's. Ray and I visited Floyd County and went to where she was born. Michelle
