|My primary interest is in the family groups I have listed in virtual cemeteries. If you are related to these families, centered in south central Minnesota, I am interested in hearing from you. I do add other cemetery information and take photos as I have the opportunity.|

Hi Joanne. Regarding your message:
I'll process your edit, but what is your source that William was born in Janesville? I haven't checked birthplaces for all the children, but some were born on the family farm in Alton Township - possibly all were.
This info was from the WWII draft registration card that he filled out in Apr 1942 (the so-called "old man's draft"). I've been indexing these records for familysearch.org and, when I have time, I sometimes check on FG to see if I can provide additional information from those original records. Unfortunately I've already returned that batch of records otherwise I could provide you a copy for your files. At some point, hopefully soon, his record will be available for download from the familysearch.org site.
Hope this helps,
Good work to you as well...Happy 4th!

Sorry...got the cemeteries mixed up...the one we found so difficult (because of the sunken footstones)...was the St.Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault, MN. It's a beautiful cemetery...have many connected ancestors buried there...
Actually, the Lakewood Cemetery (in Hastings) wasn't that bad...took at least six trips....but, just did a section at a time. It is such an interesting cemetery...so much history...Civil War vet etc...
We were pretty careful....don't think we missed any stones....but, you never know..
It's such a beautiful location....enjoyed photographing Lakeside..felt like, we did our small part to preserve history...

Glad to help...
Want to go back and redo some pictures....later this year...
That was the most difficult cemetery to do....so many foot stones had sunk deep in the ground...sure there are some that we missed...
Good luck with your research...

Thanks for anything that you can do?
You live there and know so much more about all the records then I do.
