|I started researching my family's history about ten years ago. My interest was again sparked after meeting relatives for the first time during Memorial Day Weekend in May 2008. My family includes the names of Holt, Harrison, Richards, Ballard, Rains, Billingsley, Hughes, Samford, Mays, Gary, and Whitaker on my father's side. My mother's side includes the names of Moseley, McDonald, Taylor, Eddins, Anderson, English, and McFaddin. Most of my identified family has had a connection with Shelby County, Texas. |
I look forward to meeting more relatives and love to learn more about my family's past.

Do you know if these two memorials are for the same person, Rebecca Sue Broadway Sanford? Thanks for your response.

Memorials 74819169 and 74819208 were transferred to me sometime back. It has come to my attention that they are duplicates. I am hoping that you will merge the info. My granddaughters are direct descendants of Perry and Nancy (4th great grandparents).

Is this the same Eli Harrison found on the Harrison family DNA results? I am trying to find more information on my 5th G Grandfather, Lodawick Harrison, and the results show that there were matches for most of the results. Lodawick is said to have been born in NC and moved to TN and then to IL in the 1830s. Any info that you may have would be amazing! Thank you -Amber

The picture you have posted to Velma Samford #37994188 is not a picture of her marker. It belongs to Ashvath Samford in the same cemetery.

Thank you for me being able to see pictures of my paternal grandmother's sister and her husband again. Praise the Lord for all who add photos to find a grave. It's been a long time. I used to go visit them when I was younger. I remember parts of the house they lived in. And sitting outside. I know we used to all get together as family and eat and visit each other. I miss that.
Thank you again!

Hello Peggy, I was wondering if you would share your connection to the Holt family? I am putting together a summary for the family of Wm. Nelson Esquire of Laurens Co., S.C. One of his daughters, Elizabeth Nelson, married Israel Holt in Laurens Co. circa 1820. Elizabeth died after the birth of their last child in 1834 or possibly she died in 1836 after another birth, but if so neither child or Elizabeth survived.
Israel Holt remarried to Harriet E. Conant Nichols about 1837. I am interested in the children of Israel and Elizabeth.I have some information about them but always need more. If you will share I will be very appreciative. I am very grateful for the work that you and others do at Find A Grave. Thanks so much, Ann C. Davis

Arkansas Prior Birth Index shows:

b. 8/25/1902 in Izard County
mother: Mary Annie Marchant
