|Tom Myers||RE: Frances Kropf|
I've posted photos of all of the tombstones in the section where Frances is buried.

I don't anticipate that I will have to go back for any more photos. There were only two that were my husband's family, and the shots that I got were ok, just a slight angle. The fact that her parents were buried there is probably the reason she chose to be buried there. Her husband is buried where his parents are resting. He died almost 40 years before his wife, so I wasn't surprised by her choice. I do appreciate the information though. I will leave it up on my page for others to see. It is a long way from Oklahoma to New York and since I just got home after three weeks, I am not looking to go back for a while. ~~laugh~~ But you never know.
Thanks again for your response.
|Rita Collvins Mayfield||Second Street Cemetery|
I just returned to Oklahoma from a research trip to NY, the Elmira/Big Flats area. I was told that you couldn't get into Second Street anymore, so I walked around it and as luck would have it, our family stones were next to the fence, and I was able to stick my camera through the fence and get a slanted shot of the stones that turned out fairly well. I was just wondering, seeing all the photos you have taken for this cemetery...who did you have to see to get access, or was it still unlocked last year? No one could really tell me anything, and I didn't take the time to go to City Hall after I found that I could get shots through the fence.
I could see why they put up the fence and locked it up.

Thanks for going to the extra trouble to leave a photo of where Clyde is buried. We know it is only his physical remains, anyway. He spirit has gone to God, to await the final reckoning day. We pray everyone has prepared for that day and looks forward with joy to meeting their Creator and the Savior of the believers.
