Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a lifelong resident of New Jersey and I love genealogy, quilts--and cemeteries. I am currently photographing gravestones in Essex and Morris counties; also in the Lake Placid area of NY. I enjoy adding genealogy info and will gladly add links or information to any of the memorials I've posted. Veterans are near and dear to my heart--never to be forgotten.

Charlene Teifer Stiffinella
Re: DonalD R Scalfini gravestone pic
Hi-thank you so much for nice picture of Donalds gravetone-he is a cousin to my husband in the Stiffinella family. He was a great guy.
Again, thank you and for your time on this request.

RE: Phoebe Squier
I do believe you are correct. It is possible she was Phoebe Coe Crane.
Thanks for your advice re checking with the Hanover Cemetery.

RE: Phoebe Squier
Thanks Barbara for removing Phoebe as a sibling.
As to her parents, I am searching for something more definitive and will post it when/if found.
As to Phoebe's maiden name versus her middle name - I was looking for a "C" as well and was surprised that it was listed as "Nutman". Have you not found that sometimes the initial turns out to be an indication of the maiden name?

Thanks for your prompt attention.

Gwynne family photos at Fair Mount Cemetery
Thank you so much for taking the wonderful photos of the grave markers of ten members of the Gwynne family in Fair Mount Cemetery in Chatham. This is a very interesting and talented family. Your photos include the grave markers the parents and grandparents of actor Fred Gwynne who is buried in Maryland. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Heath - Restland Memorial Park Cemetery
I contacted the cemetery to request that the stone be raised and that the information on it be visible.
Once that is done they will contact me. Are you willing to go back and re-photograph the stone and add new one to memorials?

Regarding your inability to find either grave or stone, the information that I posted on the memorial is what the cemetery office gave to me so not sure of the answer to the problem of finding it.
PS Might you be able to double-check with the office secretary on this? THANKS

SGT Donald John Crighton, Sr. (Memorial# 143879435)
You have been a blessing to go out and photograph his memorial. Here is a man who devoted his life in the florist profession, instrumental in "The International Peace Garden" bordering Canada and America, yet appears to the grass is about to cover his headstone! Wouldn't it be great to have a garden club recognize him and fix his grave. In addition, wouldn't be wonderful to have the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) recognize his service with a plaque since the 100 anniversary of USA involvement is approoaching in 2017. Please pass along these comments & Find A Grave photos as you believe appropriate. Thank you so very much. Thomas
