Bio Photo UPDATE 12/23/2014: We have unexpectedly been given maintenance rights to the memorials that are listed in the 03. Maple Grove - Transfers virtual cemetery. Will gladly transfer any of these to anyone who expresses an interest. Thanks!

We have been researching our family for about 30 years and have traveled to several states for genealogy. Many of our memorials are for "extended" family members, but others are not. We hope someone finds the information we post helpful in their own research.

Except for those photos listed within our *Posted with Permission* virtual cem, every tombstone or cemetery photo we post was taken by us on the date indicated in the photo caption.

-- All contributor-posted photographs are intended for PERSONAL USE, unless stated otherwise. To comply with current Copyright Law, you SHOULD NOT post (and/or republish) any contributor's cemetery or tombstone photos elsewhere without permission.

-- As contributors retain the copyright on ALL photos that they have taken and posted, it is actually NOT acceptable to just indicate you took the photo from Find A Grave (since this site does not own the copyright to any of the contributor-posted photographs).

Regarding our cemetery and tombstone photographs, specifically...

-- We will usually grant permission for unaltered OTHER USE when asked, but with the added stipulation that you provide a photo source citation (by referencing both "Find A Grave" [or] AND our profile name AND # in the Description) for any photographs taken from this website; for example, "Photo courtesy of Find A Grave Contributor: Law-Miller Roots (#47103448)".

-- Note that you can provide a link back to the Find A Grave memorial, instead of copying (i.e. Ancestry's built-in "weblinks" function can be used for this exact purpose). This option works quite well.

-- Please do not download and then republish any family portraits we post, as these come from private family collections.

NOTE: If we've submitted a memorial that you want to make corrections to, or if you would like a memorial transferred (and we're not also related in some way) let us know via the Edit Tab and we'll take care of it asap.

Maple Grove Cemetery Map
Hi there and happy 2015. I wanted to ask if I could use the map for the Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, Ohio on my ancestry. Thanks for your consideration. Sandra

Hi, don't know if you remember me , I am Ed Sanders sister Sheila Sanders Hartsel. Being on Find A Grave I have noted that you have some Schibley relatives in Amherst. We are related to Schibleys through my Dad's Mom. Anna Hess Schibley was my Grandma Lucy Hess Sanders sister.

Jacob Schoch and Anna Schmell
I am excited to find your entry for Jacob Schoch and Anna Schmell buried at Old Union Cemetery in Stone Church. Jacob and Anna are my third great grandparents. Their daughter (Susan Schoch) married Amos Miller.

I see from your Find A Grave name that you have "Law-Miller Roots" as a name. Are you by chance related to Amos Miller and Susan Schoch?

Photos and information
Just a note to thank you for all the information you have on and for all the beautiful pictures of cemeteries with the mountains in the background. My daughter, granddaughter and I visited the Schuylkill, Dauphin County area several years ago and visited some of the cemeteries and your pictures bring back memories. The information you have has been very helpful in my search for Leffler descendants.

Maurice Aton
Thanks so much for connecting him to his father! I know it's confusing!!!

In researching the Charles born 1862, Michigan, it became obvious this was NOT the father of Maurice. He lived in Louisville, KY, 1900 census, and then in Hamilton Co, OH. In fact, that's where his wife, Ida, is buried. There are many details which verify he is NOT my Charles! I actually researched this Charles to establish his marriage to Ida + verified Mabel was their child, etc.

I think what happened was: the memorial was established listing his name, death, and burial dates based on the burial record. Then another person found Charles W Aton in Marion Co, and since the dates were similar, he decided this was his ancestor and added wife, Ida Belle, and daughter, Mabel, plus the photo.

Also note the burial plot is the same for my Charles as it is for other relatives connected to him -- mother and first wife. Census, death and marriage records, etc. confirm their relationship.

Wow...I didn't expect this linking of all families members to turn into the effort and time it has. Fortunately, I've learned lots and greatly appreciate the value of accuracy when people ask for more details to ensure the info is right!!!

Thanks so much for your help! Carol
