I first learned about Find a Grave when someone posted my brother's information on here in Sept 2005. I didn't get interested until a few months later and now I think I'm hooked. I hope to contribute a lot in the future. I'm also interested in genealogy - surnames McLarty, Garner, Steckling, and Kim (non-Asian) especially. My husband's family names are Perez, Veloz, Avila, and Jaramillo.|
Born & raised in Texas (born in Houston, raised in Tyler, University & marriage in Austin), but I'm now living in Shreveport, LA.
If anyone wants me to remove or edit an entry, please let me know. I will also gladly transfer ownership of a relative or friend's entry.
I visit Rosewood Park cemetery in Longview, TX every few months, so I would be happy to fulfill requests from there.

I did the original research on Hannah Durham. She was certainly one of the great surprises in tracing members of the Howell family and as far as I can tell the woman was a real hero. Just want to find out if you've discovered anything else about Hannah's family. I'm just interested in her and I think this might be important to her descendants if there are any.

Thank you for transferring the Alton Hughes memorial to me. I had not expected it, but I have already made the one edit that I am sure of -- linking him with his mother, buried in Short in Shelby Co. under the name Alma Julette Lyles Dean. I had sent a message to the manager of his brother Glenn, buried at Short, trying to get him linked to his correct mother. I grew up in the same community where a number of the Lyles relatives lived and was aware from the time I was 8 that Alton and Glenn were sons of Mrs. Alma and members of the Lyles family. Alton's wife Evelyn also lived in my community when I was a young child and was my third cousin. Alton was a little more distantly kin to me.
It seems like there is some confusion with several Alma Lyleses who lived in Shelby Co., but I know that I linked him with the right one. I hope to get back to that matter when I get a chance.

Thank you for transferring family. Thank you for creating the memorials with the beautiful pictures.

I just submitted a bio of Hannah but made a mistake in it. Eliza Howell's husband was BERRY Durham.

Would you mind transferring the memorials of my grandparents into my name (Thomas Whisamore #22975984 and Sarah Whisamore #22975990)? I would like to manage them. I have photos to add and will most likely sponsor them too. I am managing several other of my ancestors memorial pages already.
Thank you so much for all you have done to build them a remembrance here at Find a Grave.

You added a photo to the above memorial, but the photo is for Devin Howells grave.
I added one for Brandon. Could you remove the incorrect one? Thanks.

Figured I would add links and then transfer. I can do all of that! I was thrilled to hear from you and have your request to transfer. Please let me know if there is ever anything else I can do for you.
