Hello M. Mary Backus Hide is my eight x Great Grandmother.. I will hang on to her memorial. However, if you have anything you would like to add to her memorial, l will add it. Always nice to hear from a cousin.

Backus and Kidder
I transferred Nancy to you per your request and was happy to do so. You and I are most likely related. I have many Backus members in my tree. The Kidder family came into the tree by marriage. Interesting that they ended up in a town with the same name as the one they left: Claremont. But then they most likely were the original settlers and therefore wanted something of "home." I'll try to figure out my direct connection to the Backus line, but it most likely is through the Crane family. Margaret Dickey Crane - marred an H. Locke - is my fifth great grandmother, b. in Vermont, married and lived for a time in N.H. She is buried in a nearby cemetery to Nancy Pike Kidder - the Rice Lake Cemetery, same county.

Kellogg Cemetery
Thanks so much for Elizabeth Meacham Bassett's headstone photo. Is it possible to give me directions to that cemetery? I have many buried there and we were not able to find it on our last trip there. My great grand parents are there. Charlene
