|DeAnna Christian||RE: John Johnson|
I don't have any information on the name of his first wife except they had several kids. My great-grandma was Della Likens. She is buried in Glasgow. They were never married. He had children as old as her when she got pregnant with my granny. She was only 17 when she had her, so my granny's grand parents Dora and Jim Likens raised my granny. Della went on to marry Ewing Smith, and they had several more kids. I just wished I knew more about my granny's biological dad and his family, but that is all the info I have. I know that he would have been born in the late 1880s to early 1890s.

If she was his first wife, it is entirely possible that she was buried in the OLD cemetery which is on the other side of the building. Most of the stones have been lost and have been replaced/marked by blank concrete stones. The man who mows the cemetery has a list of almost everyone buried there, although there are a few who are still unmarked. Not a problem to anyone but a geneologist because no one is allowed to be buried in that section.

I was referring to G.W (aka George
Washington Drake)however he was buried next to a Martha Elizabeth Drake. I have pictures of her side of the tombstone as well.
|DeAnna Christian||John Johnson (Sparta)|
Do you happen to know anymore information about him or his family? I'm trying to find out if he is my great-grandpa. My great-grandma was never married to my Granny's dad (whose name was John Johnson). The man I'm looking for was originally from Glasgow,KY, but he moved down here sometime around 1929. All I know is that he had several older kids, and his wife had passed away when he met Della.
|Jamie golden||Josie Drake|
I need to know if Josie Drake is a Man or a woman.
I found a MAN in the Salem Cemetery with the correct dates. I don't want to post this picture until I know if Josie was a nickname. This is a relatively small cemetery and one I am very familiar with so, I know it wasn't overlooked.
|Jane Hembree Crowley||Ting Hembree's Murderer|
Please read the following epilogue for the rest of the story on Ting Hembree's murder. There was not a conviction, but the alleged murderer was buried in Texas.
