This little boy was the son of Andrew and Sarah (aka Elizabeth)Davis. Andrew was born in 1829 in Ohio and died at Monticello, Piatt County, Illinois in 1891 -- but I do not know where he is buried. Findagrave does not have a record for him or for Sarah there. Andrew was Orderly Sergeant and then Lieutenant of Co I of the 15th Indiana Infantry during the civil war and the diary he kept from 1861 to March 1862 is among the items catalogued under his son-in-law's name -- Philip H Conard -- at the University of Iowa Digital Library.

I am a direct Descendant of Lazarus Whitehead -
and have the Majority of his known ancestory ,
back to his Grandfather Col.Wm.Whitehead who was a Representative to the 1st Colonial Assembly at Willamsburg. - I also have Info, Pics, etc to add for his Wife, Children, & Grandchildren whom are Burried in LaPorte Co, IND.

are in the Old Baptist Cem, In LaPorte Co.
