|Geraldine Barnett||RE: Louis Scott Loy|
Thanks, I've deleted. geraldine
|Theresa Caudillo||I Scott Capper|
Hi Nancy, could you please make some corrections & additions to this memorial. This is actually J Scott Capper. J is for Jonathon. His birthdate is 10 March 1878 & he died 20 Feb 1943. Bessie was his 2nd wife. His first marriage was to Ora Alice Williams. They divorced, not sure of the date. Scott & Ora were my grandparents. I was very pleased to finally find proof of where he was buried. I had heard stories that he was buried there but couldn't find him. I suppose because of the confusion with the name.

Nancy, thanks again for the photos. I am also looking for Joab Branson, 1793-1860, died Parke Co, IN...He is my 2nd great grandfather who fought in the War of 1812. He was born in TN, served in the War in TN, was married to Rebecca Rice. I do not know where he is buried. Presumably Parke Co. If you should ever come across his tombstone and/or his wife Rebecca Rice Branson, I would be so grateful.

Was very surprised to see my Grandparents in Find-A-Grave but at the same time happy. Thank you so much for adding them. Why did you add them??

Thank you for the transfer and all your work....
William's stone is the flat one on the right in the picture. Not as obvious.

|Karen Zach||Update on Ollie Rhorer|
Odd her tombstone death would be wrong as well but it is -- see below - her maiden name IS Westcott and she DID die in 1928 vs 1922 as the tombstone has - weird, I know but her obit and death record confirm this - I had this obit anyway but when I went to Find A Grave I noticed the differences and then saw 1928 in CDPL index so glad to get this straightened out
OLLIE Thompson? Booher? Westcott? RHORER
MYSTERY SOLVED - thanks to Dellie at CDPL :) Her maiden name is Westcott - see the death record below

Darlington -- Mrs. Ollie RHORER, one of the well known and highly respected citizens of this place passed away at her home here today noon after several weeks' illness. Some time ago Mrs. Rhorer suffered an attack of influenza from which she was not able to recover. The deceased was born in Putnam County more than 70 years ago. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Robert Lunch (Lynch?); a niece, Mrs. Beatrice Mullen and two nephews, Norman and Damon Thompson. Mrs. Rhorer was an active member of the South Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Church of which she was a member with interment in the Darlington Cemetery
Note: This lady is quite a mystery. First of all, the Crawfordsville Daily Journal is dated 1928 but her tombstone is 1922. Not sure what her maiden name is but it would have to be either Thompson or Rhorer since Norman, Beatrice and Damon are her nephews and niece so imagine it is Thompson however I had Booher . -- See below for the final countdown -- heehee - kbz
