Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for many years. One of my favorite things in researching is visiting cemeteries. I love to just walk around the tombstones and try to imagine what the people's lives might have been like. I have been contributing tombstone pictures to this site to help fellow genealogists that are a distance away that can't visit their relative's gravesite in person.

My family has been a big assistance to me in my project for this website. My son, Trenton, my daughter, Alena, and my husband, Terry, have helped me take tombstone photos. So a big "THANKS" goes out to all three of them!!

Quote from Findagrave: "The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. THE ULTIMATE GOAL SHOULD BE TO HAVE MEANINGFUL, ACCURATE MEMORIALS THAT HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY, REGARDLESS OF WHO CREATED THE MEMORIAL OR WHO MAINTAINS IT." Please keep this in mind when you request a transfer as it takes a lot of time and money to do research to add memorials to this site. I love working on this site, but I have run into some problems just recently.

I DO WELCOME ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS AND FAMILY LINKS. The more information the better!! I usually get the updates done within 1 or 2 days.

Catharine Seymour Throckmorton # 62927087
Hi Lesa,
Thank you for all the work that you do. I am a descendant of Warner and Catharine Throckmorton. I wanted to give you information on my great grandmother who was their daughter. Her name was Elizabeth R Throckmorton, born 29 July 1849 in Romney, Tippecanoe, Indiana; died 25 Oct 1924 in Minto, Walsh, North Dakota. She married John Wesley Major in 1868 in Vermilion, Illinois. Also I have never had a record of Mary Throckmorton Neville being a daughter of Warner and Catharine, and if you look at the dates it seems unlikely she was their daughter.
Thank you,

John N. Day #49284065
Hi Lesa,

As you may or may not know there is a controversy as to whether John Day's middle name starts with a M or a N. His wife, Nancy Ann Worthington Day seems to have "consort of John M. Day" on her headstone. In texts it is usual to see John M. Day but I have also seen John N. Day. Would you like to weigh in with your opinion? What is actually on both of the grave stones? M or N? --Tim Day

Leah Margaret Darr Sowers
Leah is linked to the wrong Darr family. The David and Mary (incorrectly identified as Mary Sappingfield Darr) she is linked to were from Virginia.
Leah's family were from North Carolina and her parents lived, and died, in Parke County, and are presumably buried there. They have not yet been added to Find a Grave.
To confirm this, the 1830 census shows the Parke County Darrs having 6 daughters; the Kosciusko County Darrs only had one.
