Family history has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started taking pictures of headstones before we had the luxury of digital cameras---oh my, I am dating myself!! |
As I have explored and stomped cemeteries, now with my digital camera, I am working to refine some initial photos. While stomping for family headstones, I have taken pictures of names that have been seen in my genealogy database. In many cases, I have made contact with distant relatives and always enjoy hearing from them.

|Jim Neal||Victoria Mackiewicz Hopp|
Thanks for all your postings. It's been very helpful.
I was wondering what your source is for identifying Victoria Hopp's maiden name as Mackiewicz? She is listed in the Saint Hyacinth Cemetery, La Salle, LaSalle County, Illinois. I have searched several databases, including Ancestry, Rootsweb, Genealogy.com, Newspapers.com, and NewspaperArchives.com and have found nothing at all on Victoria other than the census listings with Fred Hopp and the City Directory listed with Fred Hopp. Can you please help me with the Mackiewicz family?

|Margaret Ely Rule||Henry J. Stine|
My Stine family were from Brandenburg Ky. I am trying to find more about Henry Stine. On his sisters obituary it said henry survived Emma Catherine, his sister. She died in April of 1950. My Henry was the last survivor of my great grandparents children. So Henry could have died in Sept of 1950. I only have birth as 1860 and death after April 1950. My Henry did not have a middle name listed but I would not have thought he would have ended up in Illinois. Do you know any more about the Henry J. Stine here?
|Theresa ||Koenen in Peru City Cemetery|
Hi Kathy ~
Regarding the six Koenens who are buried in the Peru City Cemetery: Josephine is my great-great grandfather's sister.
If no one has requested transfer of these graves, I would love to have them transferred over to me.
Thanks for indexing this family so that I could find them !
You're the Best !

Hi Kathy, regarding your memorial for Vaclav and Johanna Vesely, are you related to them or would know any info about them? I am trying to figure out if Vaclav had a second wife, I think Johanna may have been his second wife. Thank you.

I am related to this wonderful war hero. We have his official WWI army picture encased with all his medals. I remember meeting him in the fall of 1964 right before he passed. Also related, Reynolds, O'Brien,...
