Googling a "great-great-great" family member's name during the year 2000 brought numerous hits. Many of these tidbits of information were news to my family and nothing like we had imagined, thus I caught the genealogy bug.
My maternal lines: Boswell, Garrett, McGaw, Sellars, Shanks. My children's paternal lines: Bond, Grice, Holcomb, Jackson, Lacy, McCarver, Sweatman, Underwood.
They migrated from southern states to east Texas by wagon or boat mainly before the Civil War (up to 12 years before); however, our Boswell family members arrived via railroad train circa 1910.
I live in Texas. | |

 | Clara Margaret Oliver Bond Hello - My name is Paul Nelson and I am the Great-Grandson of Clara Bond. Among Clara's 11 Children was Clara Angeline Bond who married Luther Mason Dye in 1917 (My Grandmother and Grandfather). They had two children: James Dye and Anna Ruth Dye (My Mother). Mom married Marshall Sherwood Nelson (Born ? - Died 1972) in 1947 and moved to California. They had 4 children total: Steven (Stillborn, 1947); Mark Allen Nelson (Born 1950, Died Mar. 2012); James Marshall Nelson (Born 1952 - now living in Maryland) and myself, Paul Erik Nelson (Born 1964 - Now living in Washington State). My Mom, Anna Ruth (Dye) Nelson re-married a man named Fred Wright and now goes by Anna Ruth Wright. She also lives here in Washington State and will turn 86 in November 2012. How nice to find extended Family! Hoping this finds you all well!Added by Pen64 on Oct 22, 2012 7:16 PM | | | Walter Dunn
