RE: Matteo & Ottelia Zadra
I am an unproven cousin to Eda Tessitore, wife of Mario Bart Zadra and brother to your Rosa. The reason I say unproven cousin is because I have not translated the record far enough for the small village of Montalenghe, Italy. Eda's father, Francesco Tessitore, came from Montalenghe, as did my mother paternal grandparents. I have several lines of Tessitore's that married a Baudino, my mother's maiden name. Because of this and because the village is so small and with all of the intermarriages that took place I know that Eda and Franceco's line will be a cousin to me. I just need to translate the records I have and at some point in time, going back, I know I will find our common grandparents. Glad I was able to help with some information. Feel free to pass my contact information on to Janice if you have any contact with her.

I have a scanned copy, translated, of Francesco's baptismal (birth) record from Montalenghe. I also have copies of his parents, Matteo Tessitore (abt 1864 aft 1896) and Teresa Bertelli (abt 1869 aft 1896) baptismal records as well, but have not translated them yet. I do have the scanned copy, translated, for Matteo and Teresa's marriage record.

I served on 5 different Fast Attack Submarines over 21 years. We carried one highly trained Corpsman for our medical staff. Say hi to your son.

Ouray Co.
Hi David,

My cousin finally got back to me and the book about Ouray Co. Ranching is out of print. He will let me know if the reprint. Is there any names that you are interested in that county. I could check my book and make copies if you would like me to.

Take care.

RE: Coon
Thank you David. I emailed my cousin, Tim about the book but I haven't heard anything back from him. If I get a chance today, I will call him.

RE: Ourasy history
"The Town That Refused to Die" was written by Doris Gregory "Ranching History of Ouray County Volume I"
was put together by a committee formed in 2002 led by Ginny Harrington. Both are terrific books. I first learned of them through my cousin, Tim Force who had a major part in helping gather information. I was able to order them from him. I live in NY.

RE: Transfers
Thank you David. There actually are a couple of books about the families in Ouray county. I have both of them. Some interesting stories.
