I have been infatuated with cemeteries since I was a little girl, so it makes sense that I would be drawn to genealogy as an adult. I am very fortunate that my job takes me all over the place so that I can visit the final resting place of generations of my relatives. It also allows me to take photos or do transcriptions in various cemeteries throughout the country – even if I do not personally have family members buried there.
Doing cemetery transcriptions is a labor of love. It requires a lot of hard work and sweat, and sometimes a lot of bug repellent, but I think it's one of the greatest hobbies around. I feel it is very important to document the final resting place of those gone before us so that others can know where their family members are buried. It is also important to preserve some of the older cemeteries before all is lost due to climate and/or lack of upkeep.
Please use the Suggest a Correction link under the "Edit" tab to request corrections, updates, transfers, etc. I am always willing to transfer non-family members, but please use the Suggest a Correction link.

|Daniel Hollis||RE: Thomas Hollis|
Thomas Charles Jefferson Hollis (1862-1939) was the youngest child of William Alfred Hollis, Sr. (1826-1865?) and Emily Jones Hollis (1824-1914). They were married in 1850 in Early County, Georgia. Thomas' wife was Ora Anna ? (1868-1919), also called "Lizzie." William Alfred Hollis was my great, great grandfather. Emily and several children, including Thomas, are buried at Beulah (Grace Point) Cemetery, near family lands at Kinsey.

I appreciate you adding the link to her father's memorial page. Her mother was Elizabeth (Clark) Foster but I could not find a page for her. Thanks. ~~Carol

Thanks for the Turner and McLelland marker photos. I am not related, but Frances, a daughter of Wm & Mary Turner married Ernest, a son of John and Isabell McLellan and they lived for many years in the house I bought in 1990 in Jerome, AZ. I am just trying to get a history of my house and you have helped tremendously.

Thank you for your message. County lines shifting is a pain, huh? All I can find about my ancestor is that he is buried in Pleasant Grove. I'll have to check Geneva County. Thanks so much for your help!
|Yvonne L.Hღ||Thank you!|
Thank you so much for the two transfers of my family, Miquel and Dorotea Manzanares. I really appreciate it, and thank you for taking the time to create their memorials and for taking the photos. A lot of time and work goes into what you do to help reunite families with their loved ones. Thank you!

My records show the people you listed a buried in Memphis Baptist Church. I am a member there and they are listed in the church rectory. I have also visited tis cemetery. Could you please tell me where they are buried? I do not wish to transfer these memorials because I want to add pictures and I can't if they are managed by someone else. Thank you for your suggestions. Glenda Hilbert
