Researching Historic Riverside Cemetery Denver - adding plot info to exisiting memorials and adding missing memorials with photos if and when available.

My Nebo - Aurora, CO - All sections walked and memorials added as of Dec 2014

Hello,
I am Robin Brilz and I currently reside in Aurora, CO. I am a Records and Archives Manager for a large engineering firm. I volunteer my time to help complete and document the histories and information of our cemeteries and graveyards. In my many walkings and wanderings... I have noticed the many missing records and photos from the Find A Grave site. I will be working to help correct those missing memorials

View list of Memorials with NO GRAVESTONE - working to complete those photos within Mt Nebo.

As I've continued to search out my Russian German ancestry, I'll be adding those missing records and photos of grave stone markers to Find A Grave as well. Should you have a request..please don't hesitate to ask, I'll certainly try to help you out as best I can.

I have always been drawn to our cemeteries and often wonder about the people and their stories. I have been interested in gravestone rubbings as well.(keep in mind that I do not use items that leave behind marks)...my first thought in working with gravestones and markers of all kinds...is DO NO HARM!
I found that the term is "taphophile" or "lover of tombstones", never knew there was such a thing!

I will transfer memorials as requested to family members, so please don't hesitate to ask for any transfers.

If I mess up or do something incorrectly, please remind me gently, so I can make any corrections and I learn from my mistakes!

Should a family member wish to have a grave stone photo removed or a memorial removed for privacy concerns, please, please...let me know. I do not want to offend or cause any issues for anyone.
Thank to all volunteers on F.A.G....this is how I was able to locate "missing" family members...some that I never had the honor to meet.

Josephine, wife of Baxter L Ireland
Thank you so very much for all your many contributions to Find A Grave, Robin.
I just sent a suggested edit for the maiden name of Josephine S., the wife of Baxter L. Ireland at Fairmount Cemetery. She was born in Denver in 1913 as Josephine S. RODGERS, dau. of Anna S. (Collins) and Leroy Rodgers. She and her first husband, Baxter L. Ireland are found in the 1940 census living in Denver. Josephine's divorced mother, Anna (Collins) RODGERS is also in their household.
Baxter L. Ireland died in an airplane crash in 1943. There were many newspaper articles across the country about the crash that I found on newspaperarchive.com, but no obit surfaced.
Josephine was still Josephine IRELAND, WIDOW of Baxter Ireland, in the 1948 Denver City Directory, residing at 2290 Locust. In the 1960 City Directory she was Josephine LOGAN, WIDOW of G. H. Logan, residing at 2290 Locust. Therefore, she m., 2nd, G H Logan and that's why she was buried with the LOGAN surname. Diane Wilson Flynn diflynn@aol.com
