RE: Booty and Anna Elburn
Thanks Joan. I have updated Find A Grave and my ancestry with the information you provided on John Edward 'Booty' Elburn and his wife Anna Mae (Coleman). Still trying to locate Anna's parents Harvey & Marian (Potts) but no luck. These folks are also pretty distant to Phyllis so I'm not concentrating on it right now. I'll come back to this in the fall. Thanks!

RE: Booty and Anna Elburn
Thanks Joan. I made the changes but can't locate John Edward or Anna in my genealogy. Who were Booty's parents?

Albert G. Bartz
Thank so very much for all your transcriptions & submissions!

Please note, the pictures of Albert G. Bartz's tombstone have flowers concealing his death year. The year was transcribed as 1991 but according to his military death record is was 1994.

Thanks, again.

Joan: I used the cemetery book for Summers Co and that is where they are supposed to be buried at. It is good to hear from you.

RE: Elk Knob Cemetery
I didn't know the answer but I had my mother ask my Aunt Lena Richmond who lives near there. She said the caretaker was:

Bobby Wheeler
217 6th Avenue
Hinton, WV 25951

I believe he is elderly and not in health to maintain the cemetery but he might have info. or at least the name of whoever currently maintains the cemetery. I really surprised that nobody ever made a listing of the graves considering they have the book of cemeteries in Summers County and several people have documented other local cemeteries. Mom's brother, parents, grandmother, uncles, etc. are buried there.

Hi, Joan,

If you get all my emails (each different from different sites!) and one board post plus this, please forgive me as I really want to hear from you on this. I think we can help one another as my son in laws GGGGrandfather would be Letitia's brother. Hannah Sapp was named for her grand mother Hannah Culp. They disappear from "sight" after their marraige in 1830. I think because Henry was born Mennonite and then married Hannah in an Episcopal church. I'd love to hear from you just to know you received one (or all!) the messages.
