Birth date correction needed
Would you please correct the birth date of Mary Harrison Drake to December 5th not Nov 5th . I am assuming it was just a typo since the correct date is on the headstone . Thank you

He had a daughter named Sarah. She was called Ellie or Ella. She married a Buffaloe. She is my great grandmother. I am trying to find out information on her. I am hitting several brick walls. I know she was living in Jackson township, Nash Co at one time cause her brother Lawrence got married there.

She married Columbus Webb Buffaloe and went to Wake County. I do not know if she was married prior to him. Do you have any info on her or any Buffaloe's from Nash County. I know my grandmother Ida used to go visit in Nash County when I was little. I am now 52.

William Fred Joyner # 53184308
Hi Helen, Please add info: William Fred "Sammy" Joyner, Jr.

He is the son of William Fred Joyner and Mollie Mae Collins Joyner.

Somehow you posted him without his death date of
October 02, 2012. He died at Nash General, Rocky Mount, Nash, NC. Sammy's wife Betty Lou Eason Joyner is still living. I am related to both of them.

Thank you,
Marjorie Joyner Gardiner

Jesse & Jennie Sharp(e) Markers
Hi Helen,

My recent request for a "volunteer" photo of Jennie Walton Sharpe Batts marker at Montlawn was fulfilled and I am interested to know why SHARP is not spelled with an 'e' or either Jesse's or Jennie's marker? Do you have any idea? I've tried to be very careful to properly spell people's names...I think it is very important to get it right. I notice your last name is spelled with an 'e'. Should I contact the Memorial page creator and ask them to delete the 'e' every where the last name is shown?

FYI - Jennie was the 2nd wife of Alonzo 'Lonnie' Crocker Batts, my relative, that's how I came across her name & 1st husband Jesse.

Thank you for any info. you can provide,

When you have some time, would you please go out to McTyeire Cemetery and re-take the photo of the obelisk of J.Allen Whitaker? Your reflection in the original photo is very distracting. If you take it at another time of day, from an angle or from below, it should turn out better. Or, if you don't mind and allow me to copy the photo, I think I could edit it on my photo program....or you might be able to do that also if you kept the photo on your computer.
