RE: Luther Jeffreys/Jeffries at New Bethel in Rolesville NC

Every Census he's on with his parents says Jeffreys all the way back to his G-grandfather. Even some of his siblings used Jeffreys on their headstone. However, he apparently used Jeffries since that is on his headstone and that of his wife. Either way, he's of the same family. It's like the De Graffenreidt's in my family. What a true Nightmare that name has caused! LOL

The Find A Grave FAQ says that we should use the name on the stone for the primary name on the page. So I added your wonderful information but then I reversed the first names to comply with Find A Grave and I have added a note in the bio.

RE: John D. Burden
Hello! Absolutely, I have been working on my ancestry for many years now and I finally have it accurately traced back to roughly the 13th century in Kent England. John D Burden is my 3rd great grandfather. John's dad Stacy was a pretty tough guy. I found an old newspaper article detailing a riot in Plymouth between residents from La Porte and Plymouth.

RE: James E. Burden
I appreciated your crediting the obit to me, but I have to say that it had been sent to me by another BURDEN researcher who had seen my memorial for James' first wife Lavota May (BOSTICK) BURDEN. I'm not sure she is a Find A Grave contributor, but her name is Judy Newman. I just wanted to get all available information on the memorial.
